I used to play the old build of this game before the revamped version came and I appreciate all the improvement and hardwork that you put to create this game and I love everything about this game
thank you very much. i'm taking the revamp seriously. this isn't just another dev dragging shit out for like a 2% improvement in graphics that no one will even notice. It's been fun to work on actually. i was kinda worried that going through the whole thing again would feel tedious but it doesn't. i still smile at scenes and it's been fun seeing the improvements even on my end so i'm glad that's translating to the readers as well. stay tuned. i've been publicly talking about another major improvement in visuals we'll see in the next update. also, thanks for just sticking with the project even after reading the original. seriously appreciate that man <3

sidebar: I'm not really the target audience for this game, but there's no denying you make great looking male characters. Do you have any general tips you could share - most of my male characters from the common assets, while not bad looking, their skin and overall model just looks kinda 'meh', nothing 'pops', they look like props instead of a guy you might know.
Aside from the usual of good base textures and lighting, how do you get them looking so good?

But thanks for the compliment about the characters being good looking. Honestly, i didn't do much special with the characters. Zack is very much an ethnically ambiguous character on purpose. I wanted someone that visually could be relatable across a wide spectrum from mixed, Latino, Middle Eastern, and just tanned Caucasian-- or anything else you dream up. I've never taken a stance on that and it's up to the reader but I did mix a few random filters in there for him on purpose just because i wanted him to be left to the imagination.
If you ever checked out the original project, my models were trash. Zero idea what I was doing. I think I have the heart to do this. I've put a ton of emotion and feels into the project and as I grew with the art-side of things, I started to branch out and try a lot of new things. I do spend a lot of time on poses and facial expressions along with the dialogue-- sometimes even posing in the mirror or taking pictures of my face while i'm thinking about a certain line to get more expressive characters. I'm not master at it but the attempt is there. I think a lot of adult projects spend more time on the sex scenes and not enough on character development. I really wanted to make characters that give you emotions. This story isn't a porn game despite having adult content.
That being said, I do think it's a missed opportunity for heterosexual games to not have attractive or relatable MCs or male characters. When I started this back in 2017 there were like zero gay games out there. Everything was straight. So I was stuck playing straight games just for the male characters. It's a missed opportunity, imo, for a dev to not spend time on making good male characters. The gay audience is out there and they really do get behind projects like this. The community backing me has been insanely supportive over the years. So yeah... just spend some time on male characters and dont just white-wash them with the generic stock dick with a hard-on pose that's default. Put some time into it. People are diverse and imperfect so make them that way
(I also think not having cringe, stereotype dialogue helps)

I'm the dev and there's never really been an option for body hair toggle. There's a couple reasons for that. 1) I'll be honest... i can't stand shaved so when I'm spending literally 7 years looking at these characters 7 days a week for development, I have to be cool with what I'm looking at. 2) Most games have shaved guys already because that's the default. Most devs don't put much time into trying to make people more natural and I just really wanted to focus on that. When I started this, that was something that this game had that others didn't. You can still go through the games here and 90% or more are shaved guys. 3) They're faster to make and faster to render. There's a lot of particles when it comes to body hair and that can take extra time to render. 4) and this is the most complicated one. If I did offer a shave option I would have to render every image twice (one shaved and one natural). But the problem after that depends on who you want shaved (one or both). So if you wanted both hairy, that's one image. If you wanted Zack hairy but Braden not, that's a second image, if you wanted Zack shaved but Braden hairy, that's a third image. All of which have to be coded in and would seriously balloon the size of this thing in seconds. For just a shower scene it would inflate the images 3x what they are now. The logistics of the combinations gets tricky so I've really been resistant to it.Well, I express my opinion, I waited until it was finished and......all the work that was done is, as I say, THEY DON'T PLAY IT or are they just straight?

hi. I'm having a really hard time understanding your post so it's going to be really difficult to respond to because I can't really understand much of anything you wrote but i'll try my best. I'll say thank you for the compliment on the renders and the story. The story goes a lot into detail about sexual relationships pretty heavily and most of that is spent on dialogue. If you don't understand the dialogue, i'll just assume it's a language barrier because I tend to write with a lot of slang. Also the dialogue answers most of your questions within the story about sexual content-- that's pretty much one of the major plots in the story so if you fell asleep or skipped those sections, it's definitely in there-- like all the time.
that being said, i'm very satisfied and happy with the amount of sexual content in the story. I'm not writing a porn game here. those are really boring to me. it sounds like we're just two very different people. The suggestions your making aren't things that i'm interesting in including in the story because they just seem boring and less interesting to play. i wanted a game focused on story that doesn't cut the camera away from sexual content if it's relative to the story. all sexual content in this story moves the plot forward which is connected to the "depth" you were talking about. there's not really any reason to have the characters just fucking all over the place-- that's very much addressed near the end of the story. There's plenty of games here with zero story and just tons of sex. those just aren't fun to play imo.
the other thing that stuck out in your post was asking if i sell this or do it for a hobby. i dont sell the game. it's free. I'm the developer and i post it here for free. it started as a hobby and i accept donations given that I'm making the story legally so it's expensive. over the years, the amount of support i've gotten from the project has allowed me to go full time on the development now. so basically i just full time work for donations
also, while i don't really care about tags on the story too much, those were all added by the community over time. there is anal in the game so the tag is accurate. we're not up to that point in the revamp yet but it's very clearly in the original full story which is attached to the OP

I've always made a point to try and respond to everyone and I try and be respectful. I think it's served me well over the years and I don't really have any regrets about it. I also think it's entirely possible to misread someone's post as well as all the complications that can come from language barriers (I'm an American, which means I only speak one language, lmao). I also understand that we're all different. When we play a game or experience a story, we all are likely to have different reactions to it. That's ok. In my case, as the dev, I'm the one who sits here for thousands and thousands and thousands of hours creating this stuff so I just really have to like what I'm working on or looking at to stay motivated. Straight-up porn games don't interest me but I do think there's a time and place for adult content (making a point about something, addressing stereotypes, humor, sexual tension, etc).To pornhub you go. That being said, i dont think deniscapo post was a shitpost. It was just all over the place. I couldn't tell if it was negative or positive. Each sentence sorta jumped from a really positive word then followed with a super negative word then some random word that seemed to contradict everything that I'd just read then another negative word following by something positive again. I was really trying to get the jist of it but it just wasn't happening so i focused on a couple of things that made sense to me and responded to those.
Ultimately, I think he was making suggestions for me to do exactly what I'm purposely avoiding not doing because it's damaging to the story. If I misunderstood the guy, I'm completely fine apologizing, clarifying, or answering any follow-up questions. I just really need to understand what the dude is actually saying but that post was a fever dream.
I understand this is an adult game site but I just really wanted my adult tag to mean something besides porn. I've obviously thought of including more porn content-- why wouldn't' I? It's an adult game so that's the obvious choice. But that would just make it like every other game and I wanted something more unique and mature. Most of the adult games are all exactly the same, they just have different models in them and that's boring and predictable. I think anyone could make something like that and requires zero planning. And while this is my first time at game creation and story writing, I still wanted to challenge myself a little bit.

To be fair, if you can't understand what they are saying, then they themselves probably don't know what they are talking about.
Or if you can't properly communicate, there's no point to continue.
It's admirable that you pay extra attention to listen to your audience, but you don't need to listen to everyone (especially when it's gibberish)
oh for sure, I know what you're saying. I try and hear everyone out. If i can make sense of it then I try to figure out if I think it's valid or if it aligns with what I'm trying to do. But I also don't want language barriers (I'm still assuming there's a language barrier here) to be an obstacle to me hearing a person out. If someone's being a jerk, I'm not going to hear them out-- you lose that privilege when you decide to be a jerk. I just assume people that troll on the internet are the same people that scratch hateful shit into the walls of public toilet stalls so I don't take anything they say seriously. But if it's just a language barrier problem, I still try and make an effort to decipher it most of the time. But yeah... that doesn't always pan out but I'm ok at least taking that early step
