I enjoy the laptop content personally not just because of the insight into the characters, but also because it gives me some feeling of control over what's happening and the pacing. While this is a spectacular VN, my strong preference is to be able to do things in my own order, clicking on the characters/areas, then moving the day forward. Even if in reality, it only changes the order of a couple of things.

cant say it is unexpected...the same goes for planned may release/date, "small delay" is almost certainty.the game hardly has started, the first release was great, and with a lot of content, unlike 99% of first/demo versions around.
hope the dev will stop providing "hard" ETAs, as in this quite short period he has managed to break his words more than few times....that kinda creates rather bad image of his reliability as a pro.

probably not that important for supporters/pledgers though, otherwise there wouldnt be devs such as aorrta, ttll and similar "hardworking reliable" dudes...god bless democracy and sheep

It will likely be sooner, we'll see.
I just love you guys, okay? I've read every single comment in this thread, and I know lately there's been some justifiable frustration with the delaying. It's not my intention to keep doing this; I don't ever want there to be delays. Believe me, I'm frustrated by this too.
All I can do is continue to work hard, and hope people appreciate that hard work, each time the game is updated/released. That's why I did 2k images in my initial free release. That's why I've written 30,000+ script file lines in this 3 day update. I want to put more work in than anyone else in this business. And I have. And I will continue to.
So going forward, especially after this 3 day release, I will try my hardest to avoid delaying anything. I apologize that there's been a few already.

No worries, keep working and make the best game you can. Your first release had more content than some games that have been out for years and other games barely put out one update a year. So, a few delays, while not fun to wait through of course, is not too unbearable. Looking forward to the next part.

yeah im genuinely surprised this game isnt getting more attention on here. its easily one of the best games. i try playing a game like timestamps and sure the graphics are great, but the story is such painful dogshit, i have no idea how people sit through it.

yup, agree completely - many games of fairly controversial quality are getting great support/attention, while many quality games are left in the shadows.
this is one of those in-shadow-games, for now...though it has to be said it is a fairly fresh project, so considering that it has some fairly decent support comparing to most of other new projects.
for the start, it hasnt been leaked here yet, and the "request" thread is fairly dead/uninteresting for most people, which is quite surprising considering the quality of the game...i
I've always believed/lived by the creed that hard work pays off. With this next update coming soon, there will be close to 5k images rendered for Stranded in Space, which is quite high considering the game came out like December 26th of last year. I genuinely believe that by the end of the game there will be more content/images/writing in my game than any other Adult VN.
But I do agree that for a project that's been out for not even 5 months, the support has been incredible. It's way higher than I predicted, by a long shot. All I plan to do is continue to release update after update, and hope the game continues to grow. I don't think about it any more complexly than that, I just want to do the work and hope it pays off.
...It will be interesting to look back on this comment a few updates from now, that's all I'll say!

I'll play devil's advocate.
It's a new game and already the dev has had a couple of delays to announced updates which, after the amount of abandoned games that followed that theme, sets off alarm bells in some people (me included).
There are a LOT of people that don't follow new games for similar reasons as I said above. The amount of new games abandoned is ridiculously high and some people are tired of starting to follow a game only to be disappointed shortly afterwards.
It's also the same reason quite a few people won't back new devs.
Those of us that jumped on the first release were told the next update was going to have 5 days and hold more content than the 8 released ..... then we were told it would be 3 days and given a release date ..... then told it would be delayed..... You must see why some of us are sceptical at this point?
None of that looks good. While I would love to be the font of optimism and creaming me panties in excitement, devs on here don't have a great track record once set backs and delays start happening.
So from a personal perspective. If things had gone originally as planned and the dev had been on track I would have been singing it's praises to the moon. As it stands with a few set backs and past disappointments that did the same thing, i'll just keep my eye on it for a while and see how it goes.
General rule of the interntet containing billions of people is "you are never the only one" so it stands to reason there are others that feel the same way and watching to see what happens before taking more risks.
