Still no news?
The engine I decided to go with was Godot... and Godot takes a much longer time to prototype things than PGMMV did, especially if you've never used Godot before. That said, I'm getting the hang of things but starting fresh with an unfamiliar engine has taken its time.

I've managed to recreate some of the functionality that some of the enemies had before, but I've changed the 'escape' system to something a bit more interesting and less of a button mashing drag.

Rest assured, I'm still working on things and haven't given it up.

Thanks for responding, my confidence has been restored and I will wait patiently for the next update. Might consider supporting when I get some money.

There some new version of the game?
Yes and no.

Yes, I'm building the game in Godot and not PGMMV anymore, which means rebuilding a lot of things outside of the artwork from scratch.

No, I have not yet released the current Godot build; I'm hoping to release a new build with more things in mid-July on my SubscribeStar. Lately I've been making a lot of progress daily due to changes in my work situation.

The creator say mid-July, or later depending on his progress.
Freelance Work and regular work have both gotten a bit busier for me but I am still shooting for around July 16th if possible for the new build in Godot. I have pretty much all of the features I wanted from the last game working, plus some new ones, but I still need time to impliment the same enemies and stages from the last build and more.

Edit (7/15/2025): Good news and bad news: the good news is that it's coming along way faster than my slower projections had expected, the bad news is that it's still not where I want to do be and there are still some promised features I want to impliment before releasing the updated beta. Right now I think the end of July is more realistic but I can't make any promises, especially given the sudden uptick in both freelance work and regular work I have outside of this.
