Pretty sure it falls under parody/fair use. It's the same way Sunsetriders7 has gotten away with using DCAU characters for years, or how The Architect was able to use Lara Croft for his porn game, Mity using Avatar characters etc. Even if it didn't qualify, it would be extremely easy to make it fit. Like slightly changing the names of the characters or the school or things like that would 100% be enough.

I only found out about the game a few days ago and tried it out, so I don't know a lot about the dev. I looked a few things up and found out that the dev was never very successful on patreon; at his peak he only made about $300 a month. I normally would've blamed that for it, but we all know plenty of people that make thousands and are still flaky, like gumdrop or icstor and so on.

Anyway, I don't know the reason why the dev abandoned it but I'm sure the legality of the project wasn't it.

I think it's a shame that the game is probably over. Not only do i like the graphic style and the story. Especially the oral sex animations are fantastic. Between Rachel and Jefferson, that's by far the best cunnilingus scene I've ever seen in a game. And I've really seen a lot. In most games, especially lesbian scenes are weakly animated or not animated at all. 98% of all developers of erotic games can really cut a slice of this. And now take a look at this game: this is how it should look!

Just because of this scene alone, I still can't part with the demo to this day. Nobody has done that as well as LocJaw. I still hope that he'll show signs of life after all, or maybe start a new project. if he keeps doing these animations so well, he really is the uncrowned king of oral sex.

While it is possible the US legal system may see this as fair use, there is nothing stopping lawers from raining hell upon the devs. It is more a matter of attention. These games fly under the radar without very much attention outside of the community so nobody cares.

Loccy has had issues before and I highly doubt that he's choosing to abandon the game, especially not for financial reasons. His health has failed him before and all we can hope for is that hes still kicking somewhere out there.

There's definitely something stopping lawyers from raining hell upon the devs, like bad press and money. Porn parodies are nothing new and have been happening since at least the 70's with mainstream movies and TV shows.

Again, I don't know the dev so I have no clue what his reason might be, but I'm 99,99% sure it isn't due to legal issues.

I got to know about this game on PGH, but midway through i stop and tried to see if there's any future updated version on here.

I always make sure to check Loc's patreon before coming here. That'll always end up having an update on the game before this post does, if there ever is one.

Unless someone knows Locky personally, no - nobody knows.

Outside of Locky and Patreon, it isn't even possible to know if Locky is withdrawing the Patreon funds or if that too has simply been abandoned and has simply been accruing a balance for these past 8 months.

Damn as someone who doesn't even like life is strange this was a real banger. Jefferson was a cool protagonist and the story was actually interesting. Why do all the good parody games get abandoned its not fair!!
