hmmm, i see, maybe very few ppl here are focusing on the story and the art as main focus.

well i kind of understand why the development take too long, since the quality is top notch here, the lightning, vibes, angles and movie-like screen is very good. The story is superb too.

i kinda understand to regarding the tag that seems vanilla, but this is just my opinion, with this quality and story, i prefer this stay to Vanilla.

Still i'm super glad found this game, really looking forward with this kind of quality work.
I've not gone through/played many avns, of those that I did - and can remember off the top of my head, the draw varied with each one:

Acting Lessons: The way the story was described as having some affecting twists got my interest.
Behind the Dune: It looked like it'd make me laugh and how others said it was a good Dune adaptation - something considered elusive.
Being A DIK: It gained that much traction that I thought... why not. I'm not keen on the whole university/college setting, but I was massively surprised at how much I've enjoyed it so far - it's not going overboard with the overarching story, it's relatively grounded.
Breeze of Passion: The demo made me laugh, and my dick got tunnel vision over the character of Emma.
Confessions of a Sassy Girl: Again, it looked like it'd make me laugh.
Confined with Goddesses: Switch off brain and just enjoy.
Pathologic Dating Simulator: I've got a long history with Pathologic so it was a no-brainer.
Eternum: The animations were impressive, the setting didn't initially appeal, but my dick homed in on Alex. Would have liked a more slice of life approach, but you can't have everything.
Freshwomen: Nice animations, looked like it would make me laugh again - not particularly interested in the central mystery. More drawn to Alyssa's path.
Friends in Need: The range of behaviour that it will allow was interesting even if I have no interest in the dark path for it. Knowing a "Nikki" as well made it all the more effective at getting my attention.
Hooked: Art style and the Y2K nostalgia got me.
Katawa Shoujo: The idea behind it was intriguing and when it came out it was a treat.
Kara No Shojo: The murder investigation/horror aspect was really compelling.
Leap of Faith: Its reputation preceeded it and it didn't disappoint. The same draw as Acting Lessons.
Light of My Life: The polarising opinions it creates had me curious. The younger gremlin is a pain in the ass but I like the older one. It has intriguing moments and others just drag to a crawl.
Quarantine Libido: It just wants the player to laugh and have an enjoyable time. The player character is just fun. Duna as well... oof.
Summer Heat: Looks beautiful and I liked the idea of an arts retreat. Not fussed about the larger story that it's looking to tell, would very happily just stick to the arts retreat.
Toro7: Looks really nice and I was intrigued by the story, ended up really enjoying it.
WitchHunter: Looks/looked fun with a variety of features, something different to what I'd normally be drawn to.
Yesterdays Crossroads: Looks beautiful and its idea is grounded and appealing. Just wanting to see how things develop with the Olivia path.

The internet has no shortage of porn available, so that's not been the primary draw when it comes to avns for me. I like it when they confound expectations, or surprise me. The quality of visuals with renders and animations just continues to increase year on year. The ideas, concepts and writing are also improving as time goes on. With Strangers on Paper, I tried it out, loved the atmosphere and the care that went into the lighting - so ended up buying it.

ahh you tried very varied art and story, fascinating. Well tbh i'm not easily turned on from AVN/Porn hahaha, i know about AVN because my gf really love watching porn and playing AVN, so bcz she keep bugging me to try play AVN, i tried several AVN that focused on Good Story or/and Art itself. So, lets say, the sex scene itself is not my First Priority but to give "realistic" touch in story, unlike non-adult VN.

Some AVN like Acting Lesson or Leap of Faith, i don't really like the art style since its literally "old" AVN, but the story itself i really enjoy it. That's why, when i found this one, it's blow my mind. The story telling and the art is sooooo good, especially the art, no oversized Tits and Ass too. hahahaha

why tho? you like more titties and asses?
since the current model in my opinion is very realistic, and in my opinion the LIs are beautiful too.
Because I don't like their personalities. One is a slut and I don't like her personality and the oter feels sort of manipulative and I also don't like her.

I'm sorry this isn't the typical game when all the girls are virgins just waiting for the perfect guy to arrive (you) so they can fall on their dick and forget that any other male exists on earth. But I have good news for you man, 95% or more of the games on this site feature the things you prefer so go there ;)

Interesting take on the girls. Doesn't sound like it's your type of story going by that.
I do like the the art and there is no forced sexual content so I actually enjoyed the story sofar I only don't like the women. But hey the mc is still going out and talking so it's fine.

The art is fantastic, and personally I think the writing is excellent. I find both women interesting, with their individual negative and positive points. I'm not sure why you use the term 'slut' though, I assume both of them are sexually active, one in a relationship the other with more partners. Seems to be realistic portrayals of young women.

Well its still 2 chapters and we still get to know about them briefly. Also, the imperfection about their personality and MC perspective about them is the main theme for the game.

If you only see them from the bad side, i think this kind of story is not for you. Since some stories often start from the imperfection, and later on we start to understand about the beauty of the imperfection.

We’ll start off with the statement we don’t love making but we feel is necessary:

We have decided to delay the release of Chapter 3 to the end of 2025. Our main goal has always been to deliver the best version of our game we can, and we have found that was not possible within the timeframe we had originally set for ourselves. The last thing we want is to deliver a rushed, unpolished chapter that doesn’t match our expectations nor yours. For this reason we are still keeping the exact date somewhat vague until we feel confident to make the launch happen, and you’ll be the first to know when we set one.

While we are just as impatient as you guys to play the next chapter and we apologize for making the wait even longer, we know this is the best call right now.

That being said, we want to emphasize how much your words of support mean to us. At times, the guilt to write these types of posts hits us so hard that we do everything we can to avoid making any kind of announcement until it’s inevitable, but then we read your messages where you guys are like “no worries, just don’t stress too much” and we’re like… yeah, we overdid it.

So, right now, we’re dialing it down and going back to the things we love the most: making this a game we love and sharing silly behind-the-scenes stuff with you guys.

Speaking of, here are some answers to some questions you’ve asked through different community platforms:

Q-For a question, I just wanted to ask how you went on about creating the first bones of the game? Did you already have a rough story outline done, or are you going more with the flow?

A-Gizmo, the writer, here. I usually answer this by saying I wrote the whole story for SoP in one day and presented it to Grogu, the artist, and then continued to flesh out the details for each chapter as we went on. If I were to go more into detail, each chapter is usually divided into 4 scenes at the beginning, then 3 scenes for each path. There are ‘main events’ that should take place in these scenes which have been, as you put it, roughly outlined from the beginning, but I like to leave room for ‘whatever happens’ when I sit down to write so I can surprise myself. I also like to leave important details out even to Grogu to keep things fun sometimes.

Q-How about a random Amy/Becca fact?

A-Amy used to look at every picture on Becca’s instagram religiously. Becca hasn’t worn her natural hair color since September 27th, 2008. Also, Amy has megalophobia and Becca always mispronounces the word serendipity. None of these facts will be addressed in SoP (probably?).

Q-Have you guys decided what story you will most likely work on after SoP?

A-There’s a few ideas we like, but it’s too soon to say for sure. Our main focus is still on working on stories and ways of storytelling we’d like to see more of on AVNs but haven’t found yet, so we want to try our own hand at it. And that ranges from things thematically similar to SoP to wilder ones like horror stories.

Q-Will we see the return of some good old dulce the leche?

A-Of course ;)

Whenever update they need, i think its worth to wait since their story telling is topnotch with the quality of their renders are good too. Its better like that instead they rush it, the quality dropped, we will become disappointed and in the end we will WAIT for fix. So its better wait than sorry

The devs seem genuine and I love the game, but the wait between updates is a concern. We are potentially looking at a 16 month wait between part 2 and 3. I think this game would explode with more consistent updates...
Considering there will only be 1-2 more updates after this, I don't think the frequency of updates is a concern.
I believe their plan was to finish in chapter 4 so should be one more update after this one.

While all true it's all the same exscuses that predated Ch2. Do we all remember exactly how long that took to come after Ch1? While I like this title...and yes the art is good...it dropped the first chapter over 2 years ago....there was a ridiculous wait for the second. It's not that good, that complicated with code/choices or the artwork that oustanding to really justify how long it will be exactly for a 4 chapter story.

it was already a little concerning (for a project that is not a one-man project) with how long the second chapter took. If statistics don't change, it will be well into 2027 for the final update. Doesn't exactly bode well for future titles. Funny how other devs get so much shit for their timeframes...but others seemingly don't. It's not like we're into Ch7 of a multi-branching narrative. That would then be understandable. Sure, shit happens in life...but they really do need to get a whole lot more organised between themselves.
