can people plz stop complaining about something thats free. this is why peole just stop altogether with future updates. let them get some experience as they go. for sure it was a huge lose with the 2nd scene not being animated but it doesnt mean they wont update that as they get more comterable. i literally have no more game to try i have to wait for updates cuz cant find any new ones that are entertaining so even just this for what it was was cool and im happy for it.. though it was a let down when all the sudden 1 frame later the fights in the tournament were over lol

A first installment being kind of rough is acceptable, and I'd have no problem with these devs if they had a "kind of rough" first installment their own game, that's not what's happening here: this is someone else's work they're taking over and doing a poor job of continuing.

my advice to the devs, harsh as it may sound, is that they should make their own project to improve before taking over a high quality work with high expectations they just don't meet right now.

They should crack their teeth on their own project. They came into an established story with fleshed out characters and lore. From a mechanic standpoint, there was a pace and tone that we've come to expect. The fans - us - had expectations. Yes, of course, it would be different under new devs. But if a Michelin star chef quits, we should be able to expect better than the stoners from Applebees.

There is a separate writer and person making renders. The person making the renders is making their own game and its called Existence on itch. From what I have heard it isn't a vast improvement over the current update for SI.

first off congrats on your 1st release people seem to forget that a lot of work goes in to making these games even more when taking over to try balance what the game was with your own take on it truth is it will stand out that things have changed as it was expected to change but if all done by the old dev was merged into season 1 and the new dev started this as season 2 you would be more forgiving for the changes so let it develop more going forward and enjoy the story and be glad its not gone and forgotten

Q- ...do you have specific endings or a roughly planned story direction that you are carrying on (maybe based on flynn's inputs)?In that case is there a rough idea of how many updates/chapters it will take to finish the story?...

A- We don't have a specific story direction, there will be things that we take from Flynn, but most things in the future will come from us. We aren't 100% sure how many chapters it'll be to finish the story so giving a rough estimate would be disingenuous. When I'm writing I have a rough idea of where I'm taking the story but most of the time I'll take it scene by scene.

It will probably take them a few more updatws to find their rythm. But hope the bug fix for the skipped animations comes soon.

Played and liked the most recent update. However like everyone else I must agree that the pacing was way too fast, and there easily could have been 2-3x more renders. For example, who was that which? Why did elf-princess and others suddenly turn into snowmen? And had not game told us that there are goblins in city I would have not noticed that because they appeared only once and fast. Then there was the tournament, and past between MC and elf-princess. What does that pact actually do? Again, way too fast. Otherwise, music and renders were excellent. Good first update.

I'm happy the avn is back and hoping next update is gonna get better and better .. and I really hope the new devs can ask flyyn for advice about all the characters to better understanding them better and create a better story.. all the best and good luck to the new devs.. hoping the newer update will get better and better..

This. Very much THIS. It's fine to be critical, but the doom and gloom "This is the worst thing since OMG ever OMG" are tiresome. It's a completely different author. If y'all thought one of the A-listers was picking this up, you were deluding yourself. That said, they did a very good job for what is clearly a relatively new developer. Yes, this wasn't a Flynn-level update but who in their right mind expected it to be?

Flynn first updates also weren't Flynn-level, though people already forgot it. The beginning of the game was EXTREMELY rough, definitely worse than the first effort of the new devs. And they can improve too, just like Flynn did.

Guess what? Maybe that´s because they already had some solid groundwork they could build this "abomination" on. What good is a game if you already lost trust in half of the new team because even with a solid groundwork they managed to completely mess up the whole looks and background of one of the characters as if they never read the original story and just wanted to profit from the reputation of a game that many people loved.

Sure, i realize it sounds extremely harsh for a first release and that i sound like a complete asshole considering they picked this up and tried their best, the result however is that they bastardized this game and maybe should have worked on the other game first to perfect their abilitys before trying to take over a project like this. It would be no problem if they made a new game, but this one clearly died when Flynn left and whats left of it feels like a fever dream.

Over on the discord somebody made a really good suggestion.To completely remake season 3 to get rid of all the inconsistencies they added with this release but sadly that idea was shut down because "The overall plan will be disrupted" and " the story will return to the issue of disagreement over changing the character's appearance" which, looking at the polls was already ignored anyway as it seems.



Anyway, that´s just my personal opinion and even though i wish it would´ve stayed abandoned, i´m happy for those that are able to enjoy this version. I might gonna give the next version a chance to see if any of the issues are getting adressed or simply ignored, but i highly doubt that i´m ever going to back this project ever again
