I was excited to see this was back, but, so far, it really isn't. I get that it's hard to pick up someone else's work. But some things are just... bad. Lazy seeming. Unambitious. Unskilled. If they pushed this out in 2 months time, I wouldn't be as disappointed. But they had most of a year, and this is the best they could do? I'm not giving up all hope, but it doesn't look good.
The princess, who magically looks identical to Centoria, doesn't actually look anything like Centoria. Not just the hair. And the freckles. The facial features are all different. As are the boobs, and the body. They should have simply taken Centoria's model and recolored the hair, not made a new one to kind of look like they might be distant cousins. Why? Did they not read the script?
The fights are completely not shown. Flynn was a bit... sparse... with the images at times, but he showed the best parts of most fights. Here, there was nothing.
The sex was the lowpoint. Jenny's lapdance isn't shown. The princess just throws herself at the protagonist she hardly knows. Most of the other girls took plenty of time to be won over by his charm. Then, the scene itself: no first person, that's bad. No animations, that's... I don't even know.
I hope the new devs look at the feedback and took a long hard look in the mirror. Otherwise, this is going to be a bust.

Thanks for everyone's support so far.
I want to give you guys some advance information and roadmap for s2ch4 and the rest
• 2-3 Major update per year
• over 10000+ lines of dialogue, 40+ animations per version
• graphic change
• UI change (Will change in ch4)
• Animations will be smoother.
• And other small changes
And because it's the first version, we also have many mistakes and irl problem so we hope everyone understands. We will improve it in the next versions.
Additionally a bug fix update will be released soon.

First of all, let me start with saying that i really appreciate that the new devs picked up this gem and tried to keep this alive.
I really loved the game and was more than pissed when Flynn just dipped.
Now, that being said... Sometimes it´s definitely better to just turn off the life support and let it die in peace.
Flynns version felt so alive... In every render the characters moved, even if slightly and made it almost look like a movie. In this new version characters just seem to jump from point A to point B, it just feels like a diashow. They don´t seem to have any soul. Most of the time they simply feel like some sort of soulless meat puppets.
Add to that things that were already mentioned in previous comments like the missing fights, rushed sex scenes, lookalikes that look totally different than the person they are supposed to impersonate and many other small little things.
In my opinion, as hard as it may sound coming from somebody that supported the project under Flynn, you should´ve just let us live with the memory of a great game that was sadly never completed instead of giving us this bastardized version. I´m definitely not going to come back to this in its current state

Glad to see that this game is back. Has been one of my favorites for a while. Hopefully the new team can take up where Flynn left off
This knockoff version should have it's own thread I think. It's a different game at it's core.

I said as much at the beginning of the year, but creative projects like this are just really hard to continue and pass on to different creators, ultimately the dev's vision (which is what made this unique) is gone, you can see this everywhere in the story.

This. Very much THIS. It's fine to be critical, but the doom and gloom "This is the worst thing since OMG ever OMG" are tiresome. It's a completely different author. If y'all thought one of the A-listers was picking this up, you were deluding yourself. That said, they did a very good job for what is clearly a relatively new developer. Yes, this wasn't a Flynn-level update but who in their right mind expected it to be?
Plenty of things need work, so maybe instead of trying to burn them out with scathing criticism, wish them well, and see how things improve after a patch and another update. If he still hasn't figured out how to properly render a blow-job? Okay, then it's doom-and-gloom time.

I appreciate the new dev's efforts. It's not easy to take over someone else's project. People shouldn't be too critical of the new dev's render/animation skills, since if we look back at the first chapter, it wasn't that great either but improved over time. I'm sure the quality will get better as long as they continue working.
However, I still need to point out my main concern which is the writing and pacing. The plots are moving way too fast for such amount of renders/animation. The two tournaments should probably be their own chapter or simply ends at the fencing tournament. This chapter should be just showing us the elf castle and characters getting to know each other. Yes, people will complain the story is slow. Yet, it's better to have one event with many highly detailed renders than to have multiple chain events with time skipping renders.
For example, we just got introduced to this elven princess, and she already completely trusts in Incubus and signs a "bonding" contract with him, no question asked. Okay, maybe it's her naivety, but the Crown Prince too? No demonstration of skills? I thought she's one of the most important people in her kingdom, no? Also, since Incubus lost against Vollstahl, shouldn't Illya question his skills as her protector? Basically, this event needs many more renders to make the characters' actions more believable. Like, during the Incubus vs Vollstahl fight, we should see many renders of them both fighting on equal footing with Voll winning by a close call. But the way it's rendered, it looks like Incubus got one shot... which shouldn't be the case.

Thanks to the dev for picking up development of one of my favorite games. I get it's first release and it seems bit rough. Wish you well and I am exited to see how this will develop over time.

Oh that was a pleasant surprise. I hadn't followed the threat since the game got abandoned so I didn't know someone picked it up. Gonna give it a try. I don't expect Flynn quality from the first try, but he too improved (quite dramatically I may add) during the development process. Best of luck.
