Hey Fluke, thanks for the update, really looking forward to trying it!
If I might make 2 (minor) new game start suggestions:
If the option to select important character's portrait set is enabled, run that before assigning image sets to generic NPC's. Alternatively, if the important character creation is being done at game start, allow the selection set to also include sets in use and just reassign the generic NPC's image set if the player's choice creates a conflict.
Also, you currently show the auto-assigned image for the character, then ask if they want to change it. If you elect to change it, it takes you to the selection set, but the original selection isn't included in the new set and there's no way to view it again. This means after looking through the new 10 or so options there's no way to refresh your memory of the original without simultaneously finalizing your choice and advancing the process. Please consider adding the intially assigned image to position 1 in the selection set, or add a "review original image" option.
Just some small QoL suggestions. Looking forward to trying this update!
Changing the image used by an existing character after it's been in use would be very complex, so I'm not going to do that. Having the player select all the images for the various interesting characters at game start is also not easy to do. For example, the mom is created at around 15 months of game play. If we create it at game start, I need to keep that character offline for all that time and unfortunately that's not always possible. I think there are enough images available that you should be able to find a desirable one in any case.
Your second point I do totally agree with and it's one I really want to fix because yeah after cycling thru 10 images I tend to forget the initial one. However, a good fix has proven to be hard to find. Which is why it hasn't happened yet. But I haven't given up on it.
So grey isn't really a great choice. Grey is a default "shit don't work" color. First getting into a new game I thought all the buttons were broken. I'm happy that adjustments can be made in game now instead of having to make them by manipulating the files, but when I say .99 female. I expect there to be one male for every 100 females. 5 males and 30 females. none of the males are essential either.
No matter what color I pick someone will complain about it. Grey was chosen because is neutral and it works better for a background for the headshots than any other color. As for the 99% female, it means that there's a 99% chance that when the game is creating a random character it will be 99% female. Characters created for specific purposes are not bound by this parameter. The majority of the men created in your game is probably due to creating the "stalker" character that shows up to date. It doesn't mean they are essential, but they are part of the backstory for individual characters.
is the return to main office shortcut gone from the action bar when you're in the club, now? You almost always have to return there so having it as a shortcut instead of going through the map UI was nice
Yeah, you are probably right. I haven't done that because I think the only action that needs to be done in the main office is th post jobs one. All the other stuff can be done anywhere else in the club. Still trying to figure out if it's worth it.
Is there an image pack that shows the pregnant progress? I downloaded the official but the character models didn't change.
All the pregnant images are fully pregnant. It was hard enough to create those, to add more stages would be impossible not to mention way too time-consuming.
Coming back to this due to the stubborn 4 star review but i still can't seem to get anywhere near that elusive fun or even management aspect everyone is talking about. A few more hours wasted rerolling and eventually cheating a half-decent MC, then spending ingame weeks just clicking endlessly to run around a mostly empty map and hopefully find someone to raise my relationship stat with a little or who's random stats won't make me loose money. What am I missing?
Is there an assortment of mods or other parameter changes that turns this from a repetitve stat-clicker with nice models (but text-only sex scenes) into the game people are talking about? Sort of a honest question. I *want* to like it
There's a Fast Start option, which adds more people to the game early on and your club starts with more rooms already built that may help you get over the "slow" start. You could try that. Other than that, not sure you are missing anything. Not everyone has to like everything.
Any chance for a Mac version please? I can't even run it on Wineskin anymore for some reason..
As I've said before, I don't have a Mac on which I could test it. In theory the Unity has an option to create a Mac version but it has a bunch of options that I don't know what they do so if I were to do that who knows if it would work or not. And if didn't there would be no way for me to provide support.
How can you move to your apartment?
It takes a while, around 12-15 months for that option to appear. It's not available sooner cause you probably wouldn't be able to afford it then.
