I am guessing you did not understand or did not read the post properly I at no point said it was the host re-read it. If you downloaded it correct me if I am wrong you downloaded it though a web page. Thus assuming you did have an infection which I can not verify it would carry that infection to your hard drive (either from the host or the webpage/adverts them selves). Scanning with something like (only for example) Bitdefender will give you a warning or not relying on something like windows defender would be pointless. I am trying to help people by saying yes virus/malware exists in files in some cases due to embedded ads which are changable thus sometimes one day they are fine other days they are not depending on the ad that day. Mega will scan the file itself before downloading it with its app therfore would be the exception as it would measure the expected size and the downloadable size. Just like you I have used the internet for a long time in fact I pre date the internet when I sysoped it and I own 3 internet security companies. I generally dont get involved in these discussions on this forum as in the past I have had very poor unprofessional responses from the sites staff so I leave it to themNot trying to drag the conversation out, but this is incorrect. I had zero issues in the browser. The only warnings I got were after the file was already on my system. To date, this is the only zip file (from anywhere in my long history of internetting) that has acted this way for me once it has been downloaded.
As for people blaming choice of file host... I only download from Gofile, Pixeldrain and Mega if I can help it and this happened to me on files from Pixel and Gofile.
I'll try through the dev's discord, though. I'm truly interested in this game.
Edit - File from the dev's discord (mega) gave no issues. and scans came up clean.![]()
The host portion was not in response to you, which is why I prefaced it with "as for people blaming choice of file host" and started a new paragraph. I've not had a single memory-based crash since the launch of v2 whereas I would have to constantly check RAM usage with v1.On
This is exactly right. The "fast start" actually turns out to be a bit of a hard mode too without cheating. The design choices in this are so amazingly flawed and the coding mechanics effectively makes it a time bomb so by the time your year long intro bar time (irl usually 10 hours without cheating) is over your in a crashtastic state no matter the strength of your PC due to the unnecessary drag.
And the cherry on top: the use of an info save system ensures that when the game implodes from its own weight your saves are forever scuffed unless you know how to edit because it saves the damage to the data. Simply brilliant if this was meant as a psychological experiment or elaborate prank. As a game its just fun enough to keep you going "ok a few more turns and it'll be strip club sim....or a few more after..."
I had that problem when I first started too, it was due to the fact that I didn't bother adjusting prices and just left them at their default.I've been playing the game since the very first release but I'm always struggling to try to turn a profit. I always eventually death spiral to a point where I have so much debt that I can't hire people to replace those that eventually quit. Does anybody have any tips that helped them turn that corner and start turning a profit?
Two things that seem to make a difference are to get the singers allowed law passed as soon as you possibly can, and to hire the lewdest people you can in customer facing positions. Hire the first person who wanders in as a bartender, then start looking for someone with higher lewdness. Hire them, then shift the original hire to a cook position. Once singers get legal, hire one, or shift a lewd bartender into that position. Lewdness matters. Try to get dancing, skimpy clothes, and topless passed as quickly as possible after that, so your lewd singer is a stripper within a few months. The money starts turning a corner once you're able to offer live entertainment. Food and drinks alone don't make enough to keep the lights on for long.I've been playing the game since the very first release but I'm always struggling to try to turn a profit. Tried it on both gaming laptop and my streaming beast PC. The crash isn't related to cpu usage. Its all about the software you use and actually how fast you click the screen. It isn't an issue on the part of hardware, its the design of the game tripping over itself.I've not had a single memory-based crash since the launch of v2 whereas I would have to constantly check RAM usage with v1.
Unless you're running a jacket potato, there's minimal risk of crashing.
Produce a crash and post the event log for it.Tried it on both gaming laptop and my streaming beast PC. The crash isn't related to cpu usage. Proton VPN is free seems to be safe but I cant wholly vouch for that as I dont use that I have my own. If you are in the UK sadly VPN is now mandatory due to your communist governmentI completely forgot to mention, too, but I don't have access to any kind of VPN 'cause I can't really afford these things right now but I can no longer access any sources for where I made my image packs due to recent shitty region blocks on adult material. Which means for the foreseeable future I won't be able to make any more. Love that for me.![]()
Open the config.dat and change this line:Progression is so freaking slow, or am I doing something wrong?!
