TotalFluke are you able to comment on this at all? I don't have any of the content blocks in place but it's not even getting that far
I didn't comment because there were not enough details for me to guess what could go wrong. When this happens, it helps a lot to tell me the last text you saw. I understand than in this case it went away so you can't make a note of it. If it happens again, just pay attention carefully to the text and then quote that (or provide a screen shot). Also you can look at the log file (usually at C:\Users\<your name>\AppData\LocalLow\Total Fluke Studios\StripClubWars\Player.log) and if the scene crashed there should be details there that can help me. Look for either error or dump in the file from the bottom up. Note that the file is not written right away, so you may need to wait a while for it to see it appear.

The way LabRats is doing it, is time between scripted events. So your aunt/cousin get introduced after x weeks. No matter what you do in the game. On Fast it's sooner, on marathon, it's pushed even further back as in 2-3 months. So"speed" setting in that is basicly how much time you want to spend before a new special char is introduced. Now Labrats have alot more time under it's belt, and a few people doing the writing, sosome of the story lines you actually want more time to explore and go down, before the next wave comes in.I'm not using it as a measuring stick to hold up to your game, just that with until the little sister arrive, and the story start to take roll, you are more or less assigned to keeping your business in the black, and working the council. Hence me saying small story pop ups with "going to family dinner, you had a great/bad time" or "you mother donated 500$ do a Nigerian prince she met on Facebook, what do?" could break the monotomy, and make the family feel more like a family. Until they get into the game proper. I'm not trying to be an idea guy here. Was merely making an observation that could help people get what they wanted out of the game. A slow burn, or faster ramp up.Some gamers loves the optimize the hell out of things, others to take they time in every little detail getting that setup just right.
There's logic already in place to manage the number of events that popup relative to the number of people characters in the game. As more characters are added, the number of actions they take goes down. Job-related actions are not affected by this, so it still will feel more busy when you have a lot of employees, but that's unavoidable. But the probability of getting a random text wishing you a good evening or someone asking you to go out while out on the town goes down as the game progresses.

As for having different speeds, the challenge is that a lot of these story lines are interconnected with the progress in your club. Changing the speed would then be likely to mess things up and it's already very hard to keep things in sync in one speed. I just wouldn't have the time to make sure that all the speeds worked. This is really the hardest part of developing the game. I can test a specific scene easily enough but making sure it fits within the rest of the game requires a lot of play testing.

Sorry I thought I gave enough by describing the message. The last message I saw was "Fawn turns around while saying "Whatever", but leaves the door open as Fawn goes back to grab something to wear.

The prompt I get is "Follow Fawn into the room". I click that and then I just get booted back to the office. No message or anything on screen, no error. Is there a way I can trigger the event again manually or anything like that or wait for it to come round again and grab the log then?

Edit: Found the log, here is the error I am seeing:
RUN WARN in file 'F:\Random\Strip Club Wars/tfel\stories\sister.tfl:861': Attempt to get property 'is_at_home' of null object [2918]
RUN ERR in file 'F:\Random\Strip Club Wars/tfel\stories\sister.tfl:861': Register 'R1' can not accept scalar value [2919]

I offered someone a job as a bartender, during the interview, after going through all the steps, in the end, I only have the option "No," I can't specify which position I want to hire the person for, and after clicking "No," it shows that I rejected the person. Does anyone else have this issue? Is there any way to fix this? maybe some changes in the person's stats in the save ?

Do you have space available to hire a bartender? Not only space in a bar, but also with enough employee cap to allow you to hire them?

Was the person under the age of 21? The game requires that people who server alcohol also be legally allowed to drink it. There isnt a check when you ask a person to interview for you if they are legal or not, unfortunately. People that ask to interview, though, should always be able to do the job. Your sister's candidates are also always able to do the job.

Jobs also have a minimum lewd value and minimum skill value. For Bartender that is -20 lewd and a job difficulty of 5. Characters will take jobs if their lewdness is below the minimum. The lower the lewdness versus the minimum though and the lower the overall skill of the character. If a character does not have the minimum skill required, then no job will be offered either.

To figure out job skill, click the 'Help' button in the top right corner and then 'Job Types' and then the name of the Job you wish to know about. Bartender, for example is: 60% Service, 20% Focus, 10% Lewdness, and 10% Sociability. If the stats of the character add up to less then 5 then a character isnt skill enough to be a Bartender.

Another stopper is degree requirements. Business Manager requires a Law degree, and characters that dont have one cant be put into the job.

Unless you change the law to allow under 21 in the club. (Lowest being 18).

Then you can hire 18 year olds.

But you need to get them to vote on the law change.

Excellent, that helps a lot. I would have never found it without that and would have required to actually see it myself. But that's an unlikely situation so I may have never run into it - the sister normally has a roommate in order for that scene to trigger but in this case the roommate must have moved out for some reason just before. And the code is crashing due to the roommate not existing.

I've attached what I hope is a fix. Unpack this file and copy it to the tfel/stories folder, making sure to overwrite the older sister.tfl file. If the folder doesn't already have such a file, you are putting it in the wrong place. I said "hope" because I can't test it right now. Which probably means I screwed something up and it won't work.

Will try it and let you know. Appreciate not easy to find the issues - I'm a developer so should have provided better info.

The weird thing is she does seem to have a roommate - when "going home" with her roommate it goes to their place. I wondered if it is an issue with the new way of getting roommates (although this is a new playthrough in 1.11 so that has already fired multiple times), or something like that? Not well versed in unity so can't help much more than that I'm afraid.

When presented with the images of two different NPCs, accessing the character page for the NPC on the left causes the character call to duplicate and replace the NPC on the right.

Have confirmed this happens consistently in cult meetings and the amateur show (shown below). Haven't yet tested in other scenarios that call two characters (sister date in club / threesomes / park dates).

in the next update will there be more options to expand the club?

It's not that it got the gender wrong, is that that scene is only available for man/woman. It should have not given you an option there. Either way is a problem and I need to fix it.

If so, it means that the R->S relation is in place (R=roommate, S=sister) but the corresponding S->R one is not. There's a number of ways that could have happened. Can you check if the sister and the roommate is both still students? (In the details under college should say so). If either is no longer a student then they wouldn't be roommates any more. I see that I'm not handling that case correctly. Also, I'm allowing the sister to drop out of college which will break a bunch of scenes so I will need to make sure that doesn't happen either.

Yeah, that bug has been around forever. I think you are the first one to point it out.

Do you mean being able to add more rooms or having more kinds of rooms to add? But the answer is I don't know. There's something I want to do along those lines, but haven't started that work.
