As @scrumbles says and to find them there under the customize button.
Don't give all at once If you feel they need more than 1 give the top 2 and if that don't work give them money or the bottom one.

My search-fu must be lacking today, but is there any way of selling items in the market by bulk? have way too many of some items, and taking a long time to sell one by one. Tried the normals (holding shift, holding ctrl, right click, center click, etc)

several of one type, had well over 100 daggers and wanted to get them down some.

normally the game should offer a textfield where you can enter the ammount of items you want to sell for that specific type

it doesn't, just gives the two small icons:inspect, sell sell only sells them one at a time..no popup like the buy window

It was just 99 torches, which is what the max on the buy button gives. I'm endgame, already finished the main quest, the dragon, cult leader, and ??. Plus finished the ayda questline and got all the gurlz from the story. So I am making money hand over fist right now.

I tried that but it seems some things have changed enough that it no longer fully applies to the early game and every time I try to play within a few (well more than a few) turns everyone runs away with food + money. I figured out Free Cities, Slave maker back when and Lilith's throne, but this game has me flummoxed. I keep reading how good this game is and see people have put time and effort into creating mods and portiat packs for it so im just trying to figure out what im doing wrong.I figured the part about the walkthrough being outdated, but you didn't actually answer my question. For someone who doesn't have a ton of time to figure out the game mechanics is there a noob way to get through the first 10-20 turns without your slaves running off with your food and money? I didn't ask about beating the game, just getting through the start. Or to put it another way, this thread is 100 pages long, is there a post or a few posts that relate to the current build that you could point me to that would help? I'm not lazy just don't have a ton of time and don't know exactly what I'm looking for (like changes to the sex system means nothing to me), if I go through the thread myself, well to be honest at this point I will probably put it off for who knows how long which is fine, but i was hoping there were some 'no brainer' pointers for someone trying to figure out what they are doing wrong at the start. I don't mind the game being difficult, I just have no idea what I'm doing wrong right now which is frustrating as the help doesn't offer much in the way of pointers (again unless I'm missing something which is possible).
