Seem like Version: 0.5.24c is filled with mod problem. If you add some specific (not all of the mods) mods, then the game is unplayable, it is literately a game breaking bug and mod option is broke too.

I add AricsExpansion mod and it broke the game but not for MIrrior mod, it work fine.

So where can i download old version? this version isn't really working well for someone who finally found mod.

Games are not required to be backwards-compatible with mods made for older game versions, and the use of mods is always at the players' own risk. In fact, most games break mods when newer versions are released. This is true for both AAA commercial titles and for indie Patreon-funded ones.

It is the responsibility of mod authors to check their mods when new versions of a game come out and make sure that their mod continues to function properly or make changes to the mod so that it works. If a new game version breaks some mods, quit using the mods and inform the mod authors that their mods no longer work. Don't gripe about the game itself.

Where have you downloaded the mod from? The version on itch.io is outdated, maybe there is a fresher one somewhere else (Discord?).

wait, what?! the mod on itch.io is outdated? but I saw the edit 4/27/2019 in the AricsExpansion mod.

Sure, host it here also, by all means. Wasn't suggesting otherwise. "Need a hero" calls, as far as I know, means... we don't have access to this file version anywhere. We need someone to seed the first copy. From that copy uploaders/mods will then replicate that file on various hosting sites. When the version is publicly available from the dev, you're just crying wolf.

Mostly though I just wanted to point out that this dev is pretty good about making his games available to the public in a reasonable timeframe. And updates can be found on itch even when this thread is out of date.

Is this game going somewhere? No offense. I liked it when I first played it, but I have no idea what the author is trying to do with it anymore. Actual content updates are rare, instead it's just bugfixes and changes to the UI.

It may be listed but for me it wants me to pay for it which when being disabled I don't have any money to spare even 1 dollar can put me behind right now.

I am a bit confused over the bug fix. do we have to make the edits ourselves manually? I actually downloaded the latest update from Patreon and still having issues wtihing my new saves

I reinstalled it freash and now it seems to at least consistantly hold my new saves and shows constant mod. So far so good.

I think this happens when long entries are added to the report on the right side.
For instance, if you modify a slave in the lab, you will read: X will be undergoing modification for Y days
Being the sentence too long, the entry box is widened to fit it and the scrollbar is pushed on the right side, in an invisible area.
The same should happen with two more entries: X will be undergoing training/nurturing for Y days

scrumbles is correct. I have seen the scrollbar disappear in my own games. The problem has existed for a very long time, and still exists in the most recent version.

How to install art packs has been explained, repeatedly, in this thread. Learn to use the SEARCH function of this site, please.

Get on this screen by clicking on #1 then click either 2 or 3.

Now click on #4 and it will open it for you.

You need to make sure the 2 folders are there and just copy and paste the correct ones in.

Or go to \AppData\Roaming\Strive

Its not what its cut out to be.
To make a profit you must go out and fight the monsters that drop what you need to make potions and then go sell them.

You will make more money having your npc's in jobs like at the mage guild, 5 npc's here will make anywhere from 250 to 400 a day for you.
I had at one time 10 working there making me over 1000 a day.

You must have enough hunters and forgers to keep you in food and supplies and then the rest send them out to do jobs.
