A makeover for Davis? Wow, that character sure is getting a lot of attention for someone who's supposed to be dead, or at least that everyone in-universe thinks has given up the ghost.
A most likely outcome is that later on it will be revealed he didnt really died and survived. Anyways, they need the character alive for the next game to be about him, like the last one was about the writer guy.

The Fixer could also be set before Davis's death filling in the blanks leading up to the death. Then at the end of The Fixer it could be revealed that he actually faked his death so that he could take his harem and piles of money and then ride off into the sunset where none of his enemies could find him.

Chris the childhood girlfriend? Doub it, she's one of the main lis in The Author.
I was just going off the way it was presented in the game intro when you start a fresh one. It's presented in such a way that the core three seem to be the Author, Chris, and MC of Unbroken.

This is interesting, though.

I went back through The Author, and found out that Knight (the MC of that game), Valentine (the MC of this game) and Davis were the three buddies who enlisted at the same time...

I am beginning to (reluctantly) believe that Davis might actually be the MC of the next game. The developer is going to have to do a major rehabilitation of Davis for me to stomach him as an MC, though!

Now, I also believe that the next game is supposed to take place in Ireland and how the hell Davis would wind up in Ireland is beyond me.

small correction, Knight didn't enlist, it was just Valentine and Davis.
As for the Ireland question... it's next to England so it's not that big of a leap (literally)

Yep. I believe the next game is supposed to be called STWA: The Fixer. Davis will be the MC.

Davis Body was confirmed by Vi, and i always assumed that the Davis and Zaina that appeared to MC were their spirits alongside the PTSD that Mc suffers from. If he somehow appeared alive after all that time, it would cheapen all the early writing and conflict, it would also open plot holes and whatnot.

wrong, Vi confirmed that the body the authorities found wasn't his, they misidentified him. So he could theoretically be still alive.

If you go on the game's discord, there's a section with spoilers. I'm 99,99% sure I saw the dev posting that
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

Not necessarily. I mean we know the story from Valentine pov but was all David's fault?
Like imagine if Elspeth was the one calling the shots in the OP in which Carl's gf died.
