I feel like I may have asked this before but I'm going to ask again - There's no cheating or harem tag, So is there any consequences with sleeping around with everyone? If so I'll stick to the Elspeth path but I always feel bad for Amrit and Vi and want to give them a chance
There definitely will be consequences in the sense that the LIs will soon figure out that you are sleeping with each of them. You can only do Throuple paths with no consequences. Otherwise, I'm sure it wont work out well with them.

Clearly Elspeth knows the MC is sleeping with both her and Vi. While not enthusiastic, she hasn't set out any ultimatums. Also, some of the other girls are clearly aware of the MC's relationships with each other (Amrit, Vi, Kana, etc.). While I agree that it is unsustainable, it feels like there will at least be some "you gotta choose" warnings before things come off the rails.

I never committed to multiple girls but following what you are saying, then it will definitely have an effect if he keeps fooling around with the LIs at once. To me, Valentine would realistically not be a playboy and would really commit to one person. That’s how I imagine the canon would go.

Based on Stew's comments in Discord, I wouldn't worry too much if you're just with the main LIs (who all generally like each other) and haven't committed to anyone. See spoilered snip below.

If it's anything like his previous game, you'll just eventually have to make a choice between your available solo or throuple options.

So when you do make a choice and choose an LI/Throuple, the question would be if you can cheat on them with another LI. If it’s possible, that’s where you will definitely have issues.

I don't remember having the option to cheat after making that LI/throuple choice in The Author, but it's been a while since I played it and I wouldn't have chosen to cheat anyways. The LI choice was pretty close to the end of the game and I really only reminder a chapter or two and then the epilogues after making the choice.

Obviously, this is a longer game and things could be different here, but it wouldn't surprise me if there's a similar setup.

In the Author you pretty much locked in right at the endings if I recall. You hit that beach scene and then choose your flavor LI, assuming you met their point threshold.
I would guess that the "I love you" flags in Unbroken are going to play a role here since saying it to Elspeth locks you out of saying it to Kana (with Vi being a notable exception). Still, if this is only Book 1 in Unbroken, I would guess it's too soon to lock us into anything.

Hmm, unless I'm overlooking something in the script, the option to tell Kana you love her hasn't come up at all regardless of any other variables or paths, just the chance to tell Els and/or Vi (and as you mentioned, telling either of them doesn't block you out of the other).

You're totally right. I was thinking about right before Kana's match but it's that phone call with Els that gives you a second chance to say it if you didn't say it earlier.

I am curious to see what impact telling them has, but we'll clearly have to wait a bit. At the moment it just seems to change some dialogue depending on if you've said you love them or not.

I'm of the opinion you can love multiple people so it might not be untruthful to tell that to all of them. But I could potentially see things being a bit rougher when you do have to decide if you've said it to women you aren't picking. Guess we'll see!

Out of curiosity, do I play this game first or is it the sequel to the devs other vn "Something To Write About: The Author"
The events of The Author happen before Unbroken but don't directly impact the plot of Unbroken at all. The only real tie in is that the MC of The Author makes an appearance early on in the story and you select which LI he ended up with for a cameo. It means more to you if you read The Author first but doesn't affect the plot at all.

If you play the previous game first - It will give you some more information about this universe in general - about MC and his friends.
Personally I started playing this one first right to the moment when we have to choose a LI (at the beginning) and then switched to The Author and didn't regret. It was a good game as well.

Thank you for the insight yall, I appreciate it. I was at the end of part 2 I think of this a while ago and realized something felt off. I'll probably catch up to where I was in the story then play the first one then.

No nothing yet, but Amrit displays unhappiness at one point if you are close with the Frenchie in the pool. Feels like decisions will have to be made before too long, but we'll see.

I don't think we're there yet, at least not the next update, quite a bit of story is left to tell. Kana stuff, Amrit fight, MC fight, Els past, road to recovery, etc. But they could surprise us too with an early choice, who knows.
