You must have misunderstood my point about paternity assurance. The issue I am raising is that a significant number of children are not the biological offspring of their fathers in such cases. In short: maternity is guaranteed, while paternity is not. Any innate preference in men that is able to give better odds that their mate's offspring are theirs – i.e. by being attracted to younger and more innocent appearances in adult women – is going to have a significant effect moving forward in terms of human reproduction and the genetic makeup of the human race as it exists today.
