And now all jokes aside, I don't know what it is... Either Stew got lazy or he is really trying to bite off more than he can chew.
I just know that I am fed up with it and I'll probably cancel my Patreon sub. Last update we got was 13 months ago! And it's not like he is posting regular status apdates either, they stopped too.
After disappearing for almost a month, he made an "apology post" and disappeared again(almost a month now).
I just lost interest in the game after not playing it for a while with no new story.

I don't think it's only the steam thing, he also works on the remaster of The Author. When he was working on chapter 6 it took him a year too and I got no interest in playing a game that updates once a year. Definitely not paying for it.
Whatever his reasons are, my interest in the game is almost gone due to his long update cycles.
I remember how - after reading the devlog in december/january - i foolishly thought that the update will be there in february. I thought to remember that the dev is updating quite fast.
This just takes ages now, is this supposed to be a 6k+ render update or whats up?

Yeah, I'm not a backer, so I don't see that stuff. I understand your frustrations, and sympathize, but I'm playing so many games rn that take forever to update. I don't mind it, I just need to start a new run every update to remember wtf is going on.
I loved The Author and Unbroken a lot. Loved the characters, main and LI and supporting. I still will buy it on Steam when it's out.

It's the Steam release, happened to other devs. Steam is the biggest market for games, so better cause a good first impression if you want to get the big bucks. The update should have come out during March/April but here we are, I hope the update is a big one finger crossed.

AVNs tend to work better if you don't play as an ascetic. Do you also complain that a VN is too short and doesn't have enough content when playing that way?
