A little more about Serena - there are currently 6 girls in this game who have variables for love points: Amrit, Elspeth, Ines, Kana, Viridiana, and... Serena. However, unlike the other 5, there has been no time in the game where one might accumulate any of those points for her. The same goes for Serena's other game variables: friend, fwb or interestingirls. No points, no way, no how!

A shame, really.

Which reminds me, if you are looking for throuples, all of the above girls have variables indicating an interest in girls. So far, Amrit, Kana and Viridiana have had opportunities to gain those points. I suspect Ines to be added to that list. I doubt Elspeth will ever be seriously added to it. Amrit is an obvious choice, as she is blatantly bi-sexual. Kana seems to have had experience with girls in the past. Ines and Vi would pair up nicely. I can't see either Elspeth or Serena with another girl, though. Just my take, though.

One of the routes I'm playing grabs all of the "interestingirls" points I can accumulate figuring there will be some alternate scenes along those lines at some point. Like the pre-fight scene with the ring girls, but with characters I'm more interested in. My routes right now include the "all love" choices, "all les" choices, a route that doesn't skip the ring girl options, and a "bang Serena every time it's an option" route, since she kind of blocks some Ines choices. May have an "Ines choices" route as well. I like to make sure I explore as much of a Dev's work as possible - he put in the effort, I may as well give it a go! Although there is one AVN I follow that has a brutality route - I'll leave that one to the incels that get off on being bullies.

Lol, didn’t realize that being a picky grouch was infectious! I know it’s weird but I usually judge the “girls” in games by their writing/personality. All of them are going to be fucking gorgeous, in some way, so what stands out is “who” they are on the inside… In this one a lot of them feel like kid sisters more than love interests.On top that the MC feels like a clusterfuck in terms of mental health so it would be a bad idea for him to enter into a relationship with other people who are also in a moment of crisis.
Someone needs to make a game about people who get together in a moment of trauma and then have their relationship fall apart…

Ava, hopefully you find someone to “love” in the next update or two. Either that or roll a d6

I think with how slowly the main girls are being trickled into potential relationships, any more side girl stuff is just dragging it out needlessly.

This game turned me into MrFriendly, a guy notoriously picky with his game women.

I loved the first game and the girls were all excellent yet here I find myself more excited for the story because the girls are lagging behind it.

By episode 4 of the first game I had several saves for all the LI's and the throuple ....... I still only have 1 here with no LI picked.

Don't get me wrong, I love the story and the characters but nothing is clicking "romantically". I don't know if it's because of how the MC acts or because the girls on a go slow. All I know is I played the first for the girls and i'm playing this for the story and that weirds me out a little bit.

As a person I'm really not into / iffy in pursuing a relationship between mentor and student just in general when we're playing as the mentor. It sounds wrong. So there goes Amrit.

Viridiana is fine if not for the fact that her brother just passed and her brother asked us to take care of her. Similarly with how in Leap of Faith I really don't think Cece needs a boyfriend at that particular time, I don't think pursuing and fucking someone that is in that vulnerable of a state is right. With the context of who we are to Viridiana.

Ines is fine, sort of. Again, if not for Vi's brother passing away. But since Vi's brother passed away, going for her best friend sounds like it could be interpreted as a betrayal. That's an unneeded complication.

So that just leaves Kana and Elspeth.
I didn't count Serena as one of the main Love Interest before Walter Victor's points post, but yeah so Serena too.

Kana and Elspeth is cool, but it seems like Elspeth is as troubled as the Main Character, depends on how the story will be told, I'm not really sure the two is healthy for each other. So that just leave Kana.

I don't remember anything explicitly stated to that effect, but you get that vibe, especially in the scene in the last release when they drove out to the countryside.

Ahh, to hell with that... that's real life; this is a porn game. I just want to see sex scenes. Sorry.

So, I'm doing like Krystal2, and collecting all the love points I can with every girl. But I actually fudge the scripts to get with as many girls as possible in one playthrough, in a harem-like fashion. I expect I will be able to get away with that until at or near the end, when I will have to make a choice or then split the game into different paths. I just don't have time to play all the way through this game from beginning to end, good as it is, on multiple paths.

I find that use of the skip function helps.

Even with the multiple paths, I just save a new version when I get to a place where I feel there's a significant branch I want to explore or, sometimes, just save where I am, make the secondary choice to see what it might bring, but then just leave it if I don't think it will do much for me. I think the most paths I have in a game right now is eight, and that's on a game in it's 17th release. Of course something got screwed up and I did have to replay from the beginning at that 17th release, but, even though I couldn't play my saves, I could still skip through a bunch of it - that left me scratching my head... And watching some of the non-animations on skip gave a greater appreciation for the subtle movements between some of the static renders.

But that's the great thing about this game and great writing in general. We actually care about the characters as something other than ways to satisfy our "lust". There aren't a lot of games on here that can claim an audience which cares about the emotional well being of its characters.

But yeah, at the end, for a lot of people it's all about which characters will look the best when jacking (or jilling) off...

I want the characters here to find happiness, find some way to deal with their issues but that's it. I'm heavily invested in the story and the characters lives but i'm not feeling any of the romances.

I absolutely love the story and the setting. Me and my sister have been MMA fans for a looooong time. Cat Zingano was one of my first big "celeb" (not really a celeb but she was a popular fighter for a while) crushes, I watched her first fight back in 2007 in my early teens. Having an MMA setting for a VN with a great cast is something i'm loving.

All the cast of their own stories and they are all quite interesting to follow.

It's just.... I don't see any of them having a lasting relationship. Some are just too far gone like Els and the MC. Vi just gives off too many "little sister" vibes. Her friend is just fake and I hate people that have to put on a personality, their lives are a lie and I can't trust a liar. Amrit .... I like her as a character but her relationships especially what seem to be the potential throuples just feel so forced. Kana, she's gorgeous but she just feels like she'd be a drama magnet and girls like that are too much work.

I've ranted enough about my opinion on the throuples and how little sense they make to me here that I don't want to keep repeating it but mainly, all the characters alone would struggle to hold a relationship together. The MC is so far off the reservation when it comes to relationships I don't see anything long term.

The first game you could almost hear the wedding bells for some characters, if not all.

Here I could possibly see some fuck buddy friendships but I don't see settling down in any of their immediate futures. Unless there is going to be a time skip once they start getting over their hurdles to when they do or this is going to be a really long VN that can fit that it.

She's the only one I don't see as too damaged which is why I didn't mention her.

She is the only one I think could have a lasting relationship but I still don't think the MC could hold a relationship together.

I do agree she would be the best choice though.

I was going to do Amrit's title screen this week, but Kana hit me with some inspiration. So here she is.

Script is in the same place. Will continue to be there until proofread is completely done, then I'll have a final word count.

About 1113 rendered out of 1247 posed. Had a really good week in terms of rendering. Doubt I'll keep it at that good pace, but it's nice to occasionally get a good burst in. Trying to get as many as I can before the big mother of a scene I know is coming up soon.

Animations are good, finished the last 3 of the current batch. As stated last week that puts me at 11 functionally complete. Still trying to decide what batch I'm going to tackle next Just depends on what scene I'm rendering around.

As of now I'm still on my self imposed schedule, I'm actually somewhat surprised, but I'll take the good news.

It looks like we added 191 renders and 3 animations this week, a pretty good haul. Overall we are now averaging approximately 84 renders and 0.8 animations per week since Part 4 launched. Words remain in stasis. Here are the charts:

If our current pace holds up and we assume Part 5 will have a similar number of renders as Part 4, it looks like we'd be wrapping up art production around the end of November. That suggests a release midway into December, though that is obviously a rough guess. Plus, the holidays can easily muck up schedules near the end of the year, so it probably wouldn't take much for the release to fall back into January. For now things seem to be proceeding well, so let's hope that keeps up.

Sneak Peek 10/30/2022

Whooo. It's getting a bit harder to find decent previews to show you, there's a really big scene I'm working at that I don't want to spoiled so I'm having to dig into the well.

I've also been thinking I want to return to old character profile, or dev process updates where I go more in depth about certain scenes I'm working or something about a character I want to explore. It's sometimes hard to find a decent amount of time where I can write things like that out though. I think I'm going to do one every month, and sort of add to it over the weeks, might make it a bit easier to manage the time, we'll see.

Anywho I have a shitload of stuff to finish before the evening so that's it for me.
