Does it matter if your party members die in a fight?

Generally speaking, no. In some specific fights, losing a particular party member may make it difficult or impossible to win that fight, but even if you do lose a fight, the worst that will happen is that you get a scene and then have to retry the fight. All of your characters get fully healed and revived whenever you leave the battle screen.

Hey, this game rules. The writing, the setting, the art, the music, the battle system, it's all fantastic. Please buy the game and support the dev. I enjoyed it so much I figured I'd write a guide primarily on how to get the Sword Saint achievement but this covers a whole bunch of other stuff, too. The only thing I still haven't figured out is where to find the final piece of equipment I'm missing for the Battle-Ready achievement. I've got the Burnt Card, Weathered Medallion, Rose, Withered Spirit (I'm guessing this one doesn't count), Bygone Bale, Wraith's Lantern, and Aged Feather. Lemme know and I'll add all their locations to the guide. Thanks!

Oh god damnit. I'd stared at that thing like half a dozen times but didn't even try to get over there. Cool, thanks! I'll probably update the guide with that and some other stuff this weekend

Alright, cool, I'm done with the walkthrough. Added a whole bunch of stuff, cleaned up some strategies, streamlined it a bit. Beating the game should now be trivial for anyone who wants the assistance, haha. Thanks to everyone who contributed one way or another. Enjoy~

for the final boss, the order is not random. You can use the CDs from each learnt move to predict when the boss will have them back up again, and then if there are multiple up, they follow the same precedent as when they were first used. If all 4 of the learnt moves are on cooldown, the boss fills with a normal attack.

Also, great game mechanics. I used a notepad and I never got stuck; would be hell without taking notes though.

Ohhh, interesting! That makes a lot of sense and I didn't even consider the possibility. That would explain a lot. I gotta test that out and add it to the guide. It would be really cool to have a bulletproof solution to the fight, though I imagine keeping track of the cooldowns would be quite the headache even with notes

So... I tried to defeat the riverbed last boss. It not worth it.
I even see the dev answer to how to defeat it and I just drop. It's not worth the effort.
I ain't wasting time no more cause dang this game is too hard.

It's been a while since I played but I'm pretty sure it appears in the skill tree after you clear the first or second Locus. It's a Lyra skill and should be on the same screen as where you can unlock Parry

hm i beat the 2nd locus and she only has parry skill tree on the first screen of the skill screen

Oh new skills are unlocked when you get on the boat to the 3rd locus but when you get off you get automatically put into battle with felt which is why i couldn't see riposte before making way there
