Even this is ten times better than no context whatsoever. Watching animation loops is as far from playing a porn game as you can get. Even in Rance there's a lot of interesting scenes which involve backstory of girls, his characters and stuff like that. If you'd simply get an art of him fucking a random girl after you grinded enough points - nobody would praise those games.Except most porn in porn games is largely unrealted to the plot, and is simply a reward for beating some random fetch quest, or something similar. There is about as much "context" to porn in most porn games as "step bro I got stuck in the dryer" porn movies have. Like a lot of the sex in Rance is "I defeated you in battle, now I will rape you becuase I am Rance and that is what I do!"
Subverse already tries to provide some context like with recruitment scenes and it works well despite scenes themselves seriously lacking (you just jump right into the animation, no dialogs, no undressing animation, almost no interactivity). What's laughable is how these barebone scenes are "premium" ones.
You don't even need to integrate the porn in the plot, just make optional side events. Like you completed a mission using Lily and she got horny. You get a new dialog with her, you talk about lewd stuff, maybe add some dialog options here and there and after that show an animation, even if that same loop from Pandora. Add some dialogs during the sex. Fill the game with these optional events and voila - Subverse suddenly became a much better porn game with actual interactions with girls and lewd content outside of simple animations. In Pandora you can just have two modes - replay the whole event and one is like currently - just the animation.
It's honestly so easy to fix and yet it doesn't seem like they want to put any efforts into this. Their community mod acts like a complete retard and defends this fundamentally flawed Pandora system to death. I hope the feedback will reach them. Subverse should be a revolution for high production porn games but if they'll keep their lazy approach for future content there will be no revolution just a disappointment.
