I thoroughly enjoyed this game, although I don't think the girls doing it with x things counts as NTR. Tag probably shouldn't be there, unless someone has heard that they plan to include NTR content?
It really shouldn't be, but enough folks cry wolf enough that its put there. I'm sure it'll get taken off eventually once the game's done, and folks realize "oh wait all the ladies are still definitely with the captain, no one got 'stolen' "

It's hard to tell from the update whether they got that a fair bit of the complaints were about the sex scenes in general not having any context at all. They talk about expanding the onboard interactions with the girls, but they don't mention tying that in with the sex. If they go all-in on interactivity for the scenes, maybe that will make up for the lack of context. Or maybe context is planned, but they don't want to talk about the details yet. The plans sound promising in general, at least.

Expanding the team means the initial sales were probably decent.

Two dicks is too many dicks, also the terms they advertised to sell the game is waifu-collecting harem not public bestiality brothel ship so what are these monsters & male alien (that's not a eunuch) doing in capt's ship? if they already advertised with non-misleading words i wouldn't even complain about it, hell i wouldn't even bother trying it

StudioFow/Zovolt is actually around 10 million USD worth, I know: Still not AAA level but yeah.
They also announced their own crypto "FowCoin" recently.

Subverse is probably just a scam scheme to get their crypto rolling.

My eyes glossed over when I first heard about this "FOWcoin" thing a couple days ago, but having looked up the white paper... I still think it's stupid, but I can understand why they're doing it. As I mentioned in an earlier post, there's a reason why every single non-Japanese crowdfunding/porn site doesn't allow the fictional depiction of bestiality/loli/incest/etc., and that's because payment processors will freeze all transactions the moment they receive a report their services are being used in the transactions for such content. It doesn't matter what the company's policy on the content is, at the end of the day they all have to obey the payment processors' policies if they want to see money change hand.

So it looks like StudioFOW is bypassing the restrictions imposed by traditional payment processors by using an anonymized payment processing system, which theoretically means your credit card processor can't tell when you're buying "FOWcoin" (or, to put it in a less controversial term, a cash card to buy something on StudioFOW's site) and freeze the transaction.

That being said, I didn't read all of the paper. If there's a mining mechanic then it's flat out retarded, if it's just a fancy way of saying it's an anonymized coupon system then it'd make sense.

Edit: something I missed is that it's a stablecoin, meaning it's pegged to one coin = one USD. They're not going to allow speculation on it, so that's not going to be much of a scam.

I can't be bothered to look through 130+ pages on this forum, but is there a timeline on the Chapter releases or when they hope to complete the full game?

Also, where are saves located?

I've heard about this quite a long time ago. I finally play it, have some fun and suddenly there's no way to progress because there's only 5 hours of content... This is gonna end up being another summertime saga, a great game being milked for cash.

How will they milk anyone if they don't have a Patreon or any other form of monthly income? You can't milk your customers if they can only pay for your game once, thats not how milking works.

Big this ^, they're working within the budget and initial sales of the game. They haven't asked for any additional funding.

They just posted an update today about their plans going forward. Bug fixes for current quests are priority, then they'll focus on bringing the next section of the game with Elaisha joining the crew:

Patreon is dependent on the likes of PayPal... PayPal got a long history of screwing over the adult history. Patreon got rules of what is allowed or not of adult content on their site. The guys behind Subverse got banned from Patreon due to some werewolf lewdness. Subverse would not been able to be funded through Patreon due to the content. I guess steam a bit libral when it come to adult content after all...

End of the day, all you describe involves money processors. Turning bitcoins into tangible cash on your account require money processors to do the transactions. The harder you make it for the end user (the player, the consumer of adult entertainment, whatever), the less likely they are to buy/trade with you. Another note about bitcoin, many doesn't want to deal with processing transactions due to possible legality issues as well.
They got banned just because of the HYPE. If they would be a small studio that make same thing, everybody would give a shit about them and what they doing.

Meanwhile back at the subject a hand, 22 bux for 14 second non branching "slow basic sex scene" animations is... dubious. At best. Which falls squarely in line with FOW's reputation, which they earned over a period of seven years with consistent behavior. Currently, that behavior doesn't seem to have changed very much despite the new youtube friendly marketing.
Remind me of back in the day when people bought Playboy for the good articles.... I guess you bought it just for the lewd pictures....

The 22 bucks is for the entire package.. warts and all... not just the sex scenes... Do you typical ignore everything that isn't sex scenes in adult games?

Based on the state of the game, yes.

They are selling the idea of a game, not an actual game. That they want to help people from countries with banned is their statement. They also said that Subverse will be the mass effect of adult games, what we got is a kinetic novel with two minigames and a cg gallery.
No, what you got is an early access release.... There been some great games over time passing through this site, but their initial 0.1 release didn't make it a given they would turn out that way...

Milked how? I can think of dlc content and such after the game is completed, just as many other games out there does. But once you buy the game, you will get all the updates for the game until its completed as is norm with early access games on steam.

So by your thinking, "small creators" on Patreon could just keep release games with fetish's that is not allowed on the platform as long as they keep it small? I'm quite sure you would find creators on this site disagree with you in that regard.

So they say that we will have one 3min vid after "loyalty quest" on each person? Still makes all other loops useless. Was hoping them to see reason and add context to loops.

There is certain content that not for everyone's liking and then have Pandora seems like a good solution for;

"I can assure you that a LOT more scenes are going to be added as well, including futa pairings and fringe kink content."

You already have people upset over the xeno scenes... Imagine how many of these would feel about the "fringe" content?

If what they promise here delivers, then people that want the character interactions, romance and all that jizz should get theirs as well;

"the Devotion Quests are coming, and they should greatly alleviate the concerns regarding this. In addition to the dialogue options, in my opinion the Devotion Quests (unlocked when devotion reaches a high enough level) are the marquee content of the game, blending thrills, romance and sex into one satisfying package that is capped off with a 3+ minute StudioFOW cinematic movie. Imagine the loyalty quests in Mass Effect 2 but finished off by an amazing sex scene."

lol, no. Not even. Try stripping the fetish goggles off. Blender is as good or bad as the rig is manipulated, and that goes for SFM as well. Neither is magic bullet. Speaking of rigs, Source's limit of four impulses per vertex is also hard

The fact you're even mentioning SMS/Drill isn't helping because once you know he's just using sped up tweening interpolation to make large movements, the "realism" wears right off and isn't even all that realistic (you schlick someone's clitoris that fast during the start of foreplay and she'll tear your eyes out, not moan in the throes of absolute ecstasy), never mind a couple of animation swipes are sourced from literal pedophile content for the SHOCK! CONTROVERSY! EDGE! You know kinda like FOW did to drum up all that noise. Furthermore, Rape isn't intenstity, it's just rape; nevermind the part where your premise is "super intense super intensity" but mean while the not SFM and totally UE4 with hyper generic lighting are also as you say

" very slow, basic, sex scenes, lacking any real intensity compared to something like FOW's SFM movies"

You're gonna have to pick one. Either FOW's animations in this game are not up to your standards as you posited them to be, or your standards are very dependent on what kind of argument you're trying to have.

Meanwhile back at the subject a hand, 22 bux for 14 second non branching "slow basic sex scene" animations is... dubious. At best. Which falls squarely in line with FOW's reputation, which they earned over a period of seven years with consistent behavior. I never said either was a magic bullet. I've even pointed out SFM has its own limitations in the past as well. All I did was pointed out that the SFM animations tend to be much more animated then the Blender ones.

I also never said anything about realism, so I'm not sure where that whole rant comes from. I don't care about realism in hentai/cg porn. Hell, if I wanted realism in porn I would go watch REAL porn. The whole benefit of SFM/Blender/3DCG/hentai porn is the ability to do things fundamentally unreal.

I've also never seen any proof that Drills at any point used real CP for his animations. Much less for shock/edge factor. The same is true of FOW. They did the kind of videos they did because the Urotsukidoji/Cambrian style of hardcore hentai was very popular, and still has a large fanbase. Hentai in general has massively under served said fanbase, having delved largely into fat ugly bastard NTR, so FOW made the kind of videos they did to serve that base. It wasn't just for shock/edge factor, it was because its very popular, and normal hentai hasn't really been doing it. Back when FOW was still on Patreon the top three animators at the time were FOW, Animo, and Noname55, and all three of them have the same thing in common.... beast/monster content.

I also never said rape was intensity. Mila Red Riding Hood wasn't rape, and it was more intense then most Blender animations. The intensity comes from the range of movements of the body, and face, that the character has. Like in the NYL video I linked earlier. All the little movements in Lara's face and hands throughout the video provide more action then in Nyl's blender animation. Hell, the vanilla sex in that video was faster also.

The standard I posited also don't make FOW's animations lacking. In fact, Subverse meets those expectations as described. So I'm not sure what you are talking about. the part you quoted wasn't even in relation to their animations so... nothing you said there makes sense.

As for the price, the price is for all parts of the game that will ever come out. Which includes all the scenes for the 10 girls the game has, including the 3+ long mintue videos for the loyalty quests. You also make something of a poor argument as if the sex was literally the only thing in the game, when it isn't.

In short, your entire post is nonsense. Nothing you said actually relates to anything I said to the point I wonder if you actually read the post or not.
