It takes a little getting used to but the controller works fine.
Use the left analog stick to move.
Use the right analog stick to turn the direction your ship is facing so you can aim at enemies.
Left trigger - special weapon
Right trigger - main guns
Right Shoulder button - Dash attack

Or you could get it on steam or gog, and then just download the actual update.. Life of a pirate, is to keep download the entire thing every time there is an update..

28Gb is not even much for a modern 3D game.
I remember the game "Crisis" in 2007, which weighed 7 gigabytes, looks better and has 10 times lower system requirements than 99% of modern games of 100-150 gigabytes.
