Well because not everyone knew FOW they got a lot of attention because the kickstart and the Tim Pool, Arch drama, and in many points they said you will only get what you want.

I was waiting for this game and as soon as it came out I bought it on Steam, and the truth is I think the following:
1) The protagonist exedees the bizarre. both in appearance and in the attitude that he has.
2) The scenes. They are animations in loop, with 0 interaction except for some. To be honest I think that any animator out there could do better animations in less time and with different angles.
3) The gameplay is pretty mediocre. It is a mix of Ikaruga with decaffeinated Xcom. And I could say that there is no equipment or talent tree.
In short, the game didn't seem "bad" to me, but I expected more. And being honest, my faith with hentai games is running out, I have so many disappointments since I don't know how to keep thinking positively about "maybe in the future it will improve"

Some sex scenes are not with mc, but with monsters/tentacles. Also there are some references to your wifus having sex before you meet them, shocking discovery on par with "your dad fucked your mom".
I've downloaded all of the other parts to subverse but when I download the zip I get an error message every time I try to extract does anyone know how to fix this?

There is no NTR because “you won't be in a committed relationship with any of them, which is a prerequisite for NTR.” according to a steam moderator

Is this worth playing if I hate NTR? Sounds like there's a lot more actual game than fap material here too, and a lot of NTR...a shame as FOW def makes top tier animations...

Definitely not. I'm pretty confident that I could be a better girlfriend than the so-called "waifus" and I'm male for crying out loud.
Just go on pornhub, all 5sec loops are probably already there.
There is no NTR in this game (mostly because there are no relation between story and sex loops), unless you desperately want to see your imaginary wifu get fucked by monster.
I remember reading somewhere FOW said calling the girls in the game waifus was a mistake. Now that's makes a lot more sense.
Its unhealthy to be so insecure that you start feeling cucked by pixels on your screen. especially than this scenes are so out of context.
Unpopular opinion: this ntr hate is getting out of hand
"What does you not buying..." Simply to prove that I ain't one for fanboying or defending games that don't deliver what I want. Simple rules to follow to never be disappointed in a purchase: Don't hype, never pre-order, and always watch a walkthrough on youtube before buying. And pirate if you ain't certain even after all that.
"Subverse being a very generic and boring game..." Again that is just one opinion, and you're welcome to it, but don't discount those who enjoyed it. Different strokes for different folks. If you find the game mediocre, fine, delete it from your pc and promptly forget about it.
But if you enjoyed it to any extent, show the people who made it some love, as a jaded cynical old bastard when it comes to pc games and shit devs promising the moon and delivering trash, I liked this game for what it's worth.
