well honsetly my excitement is gone its been too long i given up the buying this gameYoink:You must be registered to see the links
tldr: Update in early October, was longer than expected as they had to acclimate the new staff, plus lead dev had a kid. Future updates aiming to be 3-4 months inbetween.
2 new mantics, and of course the GOG release:You must be registered to see the links
So...where's that 'never getting finished' crowd at?
Ya, I definitely feel like they are moving far too slowly on it. I've never been one of the folks who felt they won't finish the game, but the pace is far too slow, as DC even references in the latest Dev Blog - it's good that they at least acknowledge that and say they will try to speed things up after this next update.well honsetly my excitement is gone its been too long i given up the buying this game
Ugh, don't me you're seriously believing that conspiracy that the xeno scenes are forced content. Cuz there's been 0 sign that that's gonna be a thing.Ya, I definitely feel like they are moving far too slowly on it. I'm at a point currently where I would probably buy the game for about $10 if it ever goes on sale for that amount - simply to give some support toward the voice actors (who have done a fantastic job from what we have seen) and the exceptional animation quality. I have a hard time justifying anywhere near a full price purchase, though, with some of the narrative elements that I'm not a fan of being non-optional regarding the xenos. I would have payed full AAA studio pricing for this game had it not gone that route.
You and I have gone round and round on this in the past and I posted receipts as well previously. The xeno stuff is already canon in the game. You don't have to watch the content, but it is discussed in dialogue and in the codex regarding Lily. The player doesn't get an option with that, it's part of the narrative.Ugh, don't me you're seriously believing that conspiracy that the xeno scenes are forced content. You're nicer than I am being willing to do $10. While I agree that the rendering quality and voice work is really well done, the part you talked about on the xeno story stuff being shoved down the player's throat is just something I am not sure I can ever get around. Who knows, maybe I'll change my mind down the road, but right now the Lily xeno bit is just very off-putting as it should have been optionally integrated into the story based on scene selections or a dialogue / event choice. Not everyone wants to have it be solidified in the story that one of their waifus (especially for people who have Lily as their #1 and are into romance and exclusivity) is getting dicked down by monsters on the regular if the player isn't into that.I'm at a point currently where I would probably buy the game for about $10 if it ever goes on sale for that amount - simply to give some support toward the voice actors (who have done a fantastic job from what we have seen) and the exceptional animation quality. Not even remotely. People are different, dude. While some are okay with and even look for the xeno stuff, some people don't like the idea of their romantic interests banging monsters, and who says every player necessarily wanted to have a harem? Some players will for sure, but some would have been interested in narrowing things down to an actual romance interest. I know a number of people who play games that are on this site with multiple love interest options and will spend 20-30 hours playing the game and, despite all those options, they will stay completely loyal to their favorite waifu because they are more interested in the romance / intimacy of the story with that waifu than they are with maximizing sex scenes. This whole logic just reeks of a 'rules for thee but not for me' mindset. The captain can have as many ladies as he wants, but heaven forbid they might shag something else or each other.
It *IS* in the story, bro. That's the point, here. It's NOT optional. It's in dialogue. It's in the codex. It. Is. Canon, whether the player unlocks those scenes or not. They already capitulated by not having it in the story
Bring all the personal attacks you want. I don't care. The bottom line is that this design decision did cost Studio Fow sales.but the mere hint of a sentence somewhere is apparently enough to Inception the idea in your mind, and it will forever haunt your dreams.
I think that says more about you than the game frankly.
Their previous content was already not receiving your funds, so it's not your absence that will change anything for their game...Not even remotely. People are different, dude. Oh I agree, they won't miss a sale to me, no biggie. That's why I'm a big fan of freedom of creativity. Companies can make the products they want, and as consumers, we can decide what's worth our money and what isn't.Their previous content was already not receiving your funds, so it's not your absence that will change anything for their game...
And considering the detail that bothers you, I invite you to discover the fabulous world of fanfics, where people who don't like the official lore of a universe can modify it in their head.
Being jealous of fictitious characters doesn't seem to be very good for the mind.
Why so mad over some people disagreeing with you on something? At the end of the day, what was said is true - it's not an optional piece of the story no matter how angry it makes you to admit. Some people are fine with it, and some aren't. Can't make everybody happy. Some people would have preferred they went even further into NTR / Cuck territory by making the player watch it, too, but as you noted, they chose not to go that far, and honestly, since they are pushing this xeno stuff in the canon narrative, they probably should have just gone all the way for the NTR / Cuck audience as they clearly didn't have any desire to put romance / exclusivity into it for the other side. This whole logic just reeks of a 'rules for thee but not for me' mindset. I've never been able to get into fanfics, personally. They seem to be rarely well-made / well-written. But ya, ultimately with Subverse, I'm out, too, in terms of buying it. I almost backed it on kickstarter back in the day, but dodged that bullet. I'll still try to help out around here with torrents and the like, but definitely never buying it as I just don't feel good about forcing that kind of fringe content on the audience if they aren't into it, should have been optional.Their previous content was already not receiving your funds, so it's not your absence that will change anything for their game...

Yeah, I don't worry at all about the bottom line of companies out there - if they make a product that I love and want more of then I throw money at them. If they don't, then I reciprocate accordingly. Capitalism is great.they won't miss a sale to me
What I really meant with fanfiction is that you are free to rewrite the version you like best in your corner. Without having to wait for someone else to do it. I see; writing fanfic really isn't something I have any desire to do, but I appreciate the suggestion. What I really meant with fanfiction is that you are free to rewrite the version you like best in your corner. This studio is known for a very specific content. You seem to have asked about them, so you don't have to spend money on content you don't like. Which is already much more than others who came crying here in the past and wanted to impose their taste to the developers...
Way to SIMP for imaginary characters in a porngame about transactional sex and monster rape. This whole logic just reeks of a 'rules for thee but not for me' mindset. You, just download completed games from this site then? You have games around here that been going on for years.well honsetly my excitement is gone its been too long i given up the buying this game
Majority of games have a over arching story you need to follow, some give choices along the road, others just railroad you from point a to b... What you are asking for is a sandbox with total freedom, to opt out of everything you don't like. Sorry Bob but majority of games doesn't work like that...Way to SIMP for imaginary characters in a porngame about transactional sex and monster rape.
You really have no standards.
It isn't the cope of simulated "agency" of the girls, it's a lack of agency of the player character.
There isn't a single choice decision in the entire game.
Captain Underwear can't choose his companions, he can't choose who he has sex with much less romance, he can't choose who comes on his ship, he can't choose quests. (a mechanics based choice due to all content being nonoptional to progress) The fact he has the "choice" of watching the videofeeds of monsters and "crew" fucking women on his bed, as everything available in the pandora is canonical and happened, is only one of many examples of poor game design and game construction.
The fact you're defending this and the game taking 7 months (implying) to get more cutscenes added and another leg of minigame "progression" says more about you than the game frankly.
And yet there is people giving 5 stars reviews to "games" around here that all it take is to "click next" and give the player no choice what so ever... go figureIt just seems comical to me how FOW shows models of girls, sexy images of conceptual art on their twitter, but nowhere does it really present that the main game are two uninteresting non-sexual stereotypical minigames. Another minus is the mentioned dialogues, which we can only listen and read, there is no choice. Sex clips are ridiculous. I really wish Subverse was a 90 minute animated video, not a game like this.

I tried to give it another chance after a few days of break, but when I didn't manage to fight the boss in act 2, I threw it away. I really don't have half a day to practice maneuvering with a spaceship, firing at an enemy for 5 minutes and then dying because I didn't avoid one deadly hit. No checkpoint, no continue with three lives or anything. I just don't like repeating the whole battle over and over from the beginning. It's a really ultra boring game without creative game mechanics.
You can't choose which character you will have sex with, what type of sex, such as oral, pussy or anal, tender or rough type of sex. I really don't see the motivation to play this game.
My suggestion:
Based on the success of the mission, the type of sex could be unlocked (bronze score - oral sex animation, silver score - pussy sex animation, golden score - anal sex animation), dialogue choices could open up trust and thus more sexual variants (bonding, violent sex , romantic lovemaking)
Here is an example of what Subverse is in terms of concept now.
