Well if they start pushing coins that may mean the cash is short. And that may affect the game development. Not the first project they abandon.
Umm...what did they abandon?

Also I mentioned it being used for their support site, which is also meant to be used by other artists. Basically their attempt to create an adult-friendly Patreon. They went for crypto as it'll allow people in foreign countries to support them, as well as getting around credit card companies that tend to be shitty about adult content (see what happened to Pornhub as an example)

Seen Germans and other people on this site crying about not able to get adult games from Steam? Their platform would be a option for these to buy their game without the "gov parental control" slap them over the fingers... It could as well if successful be a option for creators that can't get their work monetized on patreon due to the "paypal content cop" rule over them.

To be fair was just small animations stuff nothing that big and this is more what I heard during the time they cut the beta, but i will be honest after look more up I will take some things back, The well is just because they are new to this they made mistakes according to some stuff they release 5 other games “It's being produced by Studio FOW, and we've released 16 movies, 5 games and over 30 shorts in the few years we've been operating.”

And back to the crypto topic well here is the thing they got 1.666M for a 2(ish) years development. Steam EA gave a boost but will they have the money to finish or they will need to rush the end. And one more time they can't push crypto for the game if they want to keep the steam page.

I get what you are saying and I do believe this is “I don't care problem”(the coin) if that was the only thing. But again that's not the only thing.

If they start sell their game on their own site offering "crypto" as a way to pay for that game. It doesn't breach anything with Steam afaik. Steam just disallow games to have any ingame mechanics that deal with NFT and crypto. There is no such options inside the game.

Looking at the steamdb charts. When the previous patch with the gallery got released it had a small bump. With the last update, it had a rather large bump at least in regard of adult games on steam.

Subverse had so far greater success on steam than other adult games that had exposure on Steam

Compare Subverse

WIth AI*Shoujo/AI*少女
(almost 3 times as expensive as Subverse and imho gameplay is abysmal).

Or HuniePop 2: Double Date
(slightly cheaper than Subverse, and the lewd shit is rather disappointing).

If you account for the later two is completed games and Subverse still early access and work in progress, it still does fairly well on steam. When they make the ability to replay side quests to grind PP/xp you will see more activity on the charts as well. Now it's people play new content and it will appear dormant for a while , the activity in between updates though should be accounted for new players picking up the game for most parts.

The games referred to there are the flash games they posted on Newgrounds:

The beta wasn't cut, it was the initial early access they canceled. This pissed off plenty of people, but it made sense back then. Had they stuck to that, we'd have been playing the content out with just a few missions at a time, untested with all the bugs, without cinematics and likely a lot of dialogue and voice acting. They shifted to releasing as a full game, then finally decided to change back to an inbetween compromise, they'd instead do early access, but releasing content in large chunks at a time, rather than a chapter by chapter basis.

Also I doubt money will be a concern once the GoG release occurs and then every country that couldn't purchase the game will be able to, that'll give em plenty more revenue

They damned if they do and damned if they don't right? If they had released what was initial back then people would been crying "is this all we got for our money". When want to do better and go bigger make use of those funds you have people go nuts over that too. Same people that is happy to jerk off to games that get updated with a 5 minute update every other month or so on this site.

If I get your argument right I will disagree with you. What was in EA should be the beta and after some updates they should put on EA. Now don't forget they set an expectation bar, this time we were not talking about a guy that you sometimes throw 5-10 on patreon close to any major update or you came here to see if there was any update. And again this is just one part of the problem.

Afaik they did look into Unity before they moved onto Unreal. Should they just released something half arsed in Unty to get it over with? If you look at the REALLY high earners on Patreon when it come to adult games and what they actually put out of updates and frequency you will find FOW come out rather good in comparison tbh. When you see people like Adeptus Steve pull close to 120k a month, it becomes more than some guy throw 5-10 once in a blue moon his way.

The GOG release will be the same as Steam. They can't magically conjure up a full release for GOG you know.

Ok let's believe that you don't get what I was saying. The question was will GoG get the EA or they will have to wait for the full game.

To the EA release once more I will believe that you don't get what I was saying. The beta should be what they release not before at the time they EA release and some updates later sure put on EA. You are missing the point on the patreon thing FOW is not the basement dev they are the guys that get 1.6M on KS plus a EA release. They set the bar of a AA or AAA themselves so if they put the AA developer face to the public that is what people will see.

They had some beta testing before the EA. So exactly what are you wanting? Their solution with early access and release chapter chunks at a time rather than have people have to wait for the game to be completed seems reasonable middle of the road solution, where it give room for players/customers to give feedback along the way. It's easier to do changes underway than have to go back and start flick and patch on things afterwards.

Strange how you point out how much they gathered on KS, but exempt "basement dev's" that collect over 1.4 mill a year. on Patreon... FOW is a mid sized game studio with running cost of what that entails, but who cares about cost and such right?

I'm having an issue where the curser isn't showing in pandora. It's still there and works but it's invisible. Anyone know a fix?

I haven't used Mega with this game, but just in general I've noticed I will frequently have issues with Mega on bigger downloads unless I use Edge (my regular browser is Firefox). So I try to use Nopy (much more reliable) but when I do have to use Mega, I use Edge for it. Just something to try.

Actually no one. Production is not consumers problem.
and neither is how much funds they raise on KS, make in steam sales, or how much a creator pull on Patreon, or whatever monetizing going on. A consumers problem is the choice to buy or not to buy something. Or pledge support, or not.

Or when it come to the pirates life... If something is worth to download or not... no once forces you to do anything you don't want to.

My 2 cents after finishing the updated version.

I kinda like what Studios Fow gave us and I'm overall positive about this new version.

I think it's short of content for 7 months of waiting but devs explained that it's was the first big update and that next updates will come faster (something like 4 months between each update).

Regarding porn, even if loyalty quests are not implemented yet, I have a more positive view about the Pandora system.

Main reason are that the 50 + scenes they added, brang more diversity to the sex content. Adding Elisha + scenes with multiples girls is a nice thing, it's less repetitive. However there is still "filler" scenes that feels like "low-effort" here ( Killision not pregnant / Lily swinging)

Regarding game content, I would say that the balance between the main story and side quests is a bit off. I wouldn't mind about having twice as less side quests if they added one more mission like the "planet infiltration"

Space battles especially are repetitive and missions like the previously said "planet infiltration" are a breath of fresh air, but are too rare.

I prefer ground combat to space Battle, however I have 1 big problem with it : you don't know the spawning position of the enemy squad for their first wave.

It adds randomness to your spawning choice and it can become really unfair since for the hardest fights being able to quickly hold the first enemy wave is really important if you don't want to be overwhelmed by the following waves.

I noticed that I had several technical problems with the last update :

- Sound and imabe not sync during cutscenes
- Characters models staying in low resolution during dialogs

Didn't had this before.
