Since the western porn game market for both 2D and 3D games have made games of this quality for less. You're still not counting the money they paid from EA sales on release. You forgot to take into account how much money StudioFow had been making before starting this game. Their original Patreon was making them 5 digits a month.

Money doesn't automatically mean they can accomplish everything they wanted, but please stop pretending they didn't have quadruple what other devs in this scene have gotten to make their games. Their Kickstarter and EA sales got them equal to Mighty No. 9's crowd funding numbers, which was considered a very good amount to make a game with. Subverse is not an AAA game and shouldn't require the AAA costs for development, so let's stop pretending they do. The only reason why 4 mil wouldn't be enough is if their dev team had inflated paychecks.

Excellent post. I'd also like to know where Studio FoW's members are from. Many content creators making adult video games are from Russia and/or the Ukraine. If Fow uses any coders or animators from that part of the world then it makes development even cheaper.

- Right now $1 USD is worth 80.29 Russian rubles or 29.43 Ukrainian hryvnia.
- $17,000 USD = 1,364,953.80 Russian rubles or 500,303.20 Ukrainian hryvnia.
- As of 2020, the average household income in the United States was $64,530 USD or $5,378 per month. Meanwhile the average household income in Russia was $10,690 USD or $891 per month. The average household income in Ukraine was $3,570 USD or $298 per month.

Triple A budgets are waaay more than 2M. And wasn't their patreon gone long before they announced this game? I'm not saying they don't deserve the blame as they clearly mismanged this. I'm just saying you guys don't have a full view on the costs of running a business.

Can you share some examples of better quality, or larger scope for less costs? I'm curious to know.

At least someone gave a normal detailed answer Although it was obvious. I still consider this an unfinished erotic-porn game is better than what is now. It has its drawbacks, but there are at least a few levels (albeit simple ones) and more or less finished characters.

Approximately everything is true, except for one "insignificant" but - "PRICES" even before the events in Ukraine left much to be desired.And money, as you know, does not happen much :coffee: :KEK:

P.P.- I still hope that someday it won't come out just an erotic porn game, but the game is also with addictive gameplay.

Played 0.4.1 for some time and it was absolutely amazing.
Best "galaga remaster" ever created. :D Love this game.
