Yeah i dont buy early access games anyway. I didnt follow this outside the initial launch (which wasnt great) so i never bought it. I was waiting for sale during Early access, never saw one so im gonna wait until its on sale (much less than the OG price) to buy it as i do with most games that are good and appear here.

The game don't have much personality behind girls. I mean, the best feature is that they are well designed and voiced, but everything else is super forgettable and can be said in one sentence.
They could have written more content in that regard making devotion quests longer, consisting of multiple smaller stage quests, tie it up with scenes from pandora and add context to porn.

I'm out of the loop here. I've heard of this game before, but never really paid attention to it until now.
Can someone please give a run down on why it seems people seem so angry and negative towards this game? I am genuinely curious, because I have no idea why.

To put it simply, game have good character design, marvelous voicing job, tidious plot, very tiresome marvel-like adult humor, and normal gameplay. But most of porn content is absolutely out of game flow. You have to go to a certain submenu, and there watch short clips without any context or setup.
Imagine playing something like overwatch but then mid game alt-tabing into pornhub and watching some porn.

I guess that does sound mildly disappointing.
....But I can tell there's not all to it, since that doesn't sound like a complete dealbreaker, I'm straight up seeing people in this thread and steam shitting on the whole dev team with full malice. I think there's more to it than t hat.

A lot of anger is fomented by the game's monster x girl content that StudioFOW is known for. There's always problems on this site when a waifu touches anything else but the sacred penis.
But rating this game less than 3* is a joke when the average Daz3D game with 2% of the effort gets 4* - 4.5*. This is a high quality, professional product that we rarely see in this sector.
It's 1.0 already and still there is no Celestina scene. Fuck this shit, I paid for EA and I get this...
For Those who don't know where to Put the Save File
you just need to go to the where you have installed steam, generally in Program Files in disc c
->C:\Program Files (86x)\Steam\userdata\
->and then search you user id (generally appears two folders, one with 0 and the one with numbers, select the one with the numbers)
->then you need to select the Subverse Id, who is 1034140
->select Remote Folder and then, there is the Save file you need to replace

Its below average game if it competes with ordinary games on steam.
And its just average porn clip collection, if you make it compete with their own works, not to mention with more popular creators.

Pretty good description but not exactly true. It's not the same as playing x and y game then tabbing out to watch rule 34 of it, the difference is that the sex scenes in this game are canon, rule 34 is not.
You progress through a generic story, about as deep and rich as if a 12-year-old came up with it, and everyone is horny and everything is connected to sex somehow. It's an RPG where you recruit characters that have different backgrounds. But it's a porn game, it's not meant to be serious. The devs are aware that it's just a dumb porn game and don't try to be anything more, they even make fun of themselves in dialogue, and break 4th wall constantly. The characters are not designed for you to feel empathy or love for them, they are designed to be charming and sexy. You can't build complex relationships with them, and definitely can't romance them, the best you can do is learn about their backstory and personality, but it reads like it's written by a horny teenager, not a professional writer. It's a harem game, the porn part of it is you simply invite them to your bed and bang. It's basically a glorified scene viewer, but the models, animations and VA are really good, and there's some bestiality, lesbian and futa stuff too (all avoidable as you have to unlock every scene manually). You play missions with companions to level them up and unlock sex scenes. I'd describe the dialogue as marvel humour mixed with GTA's edgy humour. There are extreme and edgy parodies of movies, games, celebrities, influencers and even the player and the devs. There are 2 types of missions: ground and space. You can check how they look like on steam, IMO the ground one is extremely unfun (still better than RPGM), but i actually really like the space one. The game also has a gallery where you can pose the characters in front of different backgrounds and make wallpapers.
In short, the way i look at the game is: Mediocre story and gameplay, but whenever i get bored i can go bang the character i just did a mission with. The scenes are top quality and they paid for the best voice actors.
I don't know if the devs did something weird and got cancelled on twitter or whatever, but the only real issue i see with the game is that it costs 40 bucks, and i've never seen it on discount. There are AAA masterpieces that cost the same, but i guess porn is always unreasonably expensive. Good thing you guys don't have that issue on this site
. I'd recommend everyone to try it if you're comfortable playing as a male protagonist. He has a mask on though.

That's so amusing. They already got millions of dollars from pre-sales and several more by selling it in early access for 4 years. Don't they realize they have pretty much milked this game for everything it's worth already?? Everyone who were remotedly interested in this game, likely has already bought it by now. They NEED to make new content(not just the promised content they have to release for free), but actual new DLC if they want to make more cash on this.
