Mediocre end product. Lack of effort for something over 5 years in development and over a million dollars in community funding just upfront (doesn't include Steam). Continually stupid design decisions over the course of development as its clear the devs don't know how to make a video game.

This could have been a fraction of the cost and just videos. Marketing this as a game is hairy balls especially since this is the "final 1.0" product. Though I would not be shocked if they start doing the "1.1... 1.2... etc" grift so they can take advantage of the "new update" news on pages like Steam to sucker more people into buying it for full price.

Don't bother. Save your time and money.

The only ones 'betrayed' were the overreacting people when they first canceled early access, who continued to villify the studio even when they changed it to a different form of early access.

Subverse was never gonna be as dark as some of the films they were known, it was always their intention to keep it light. This was their sole focus with no additional income, so they did not want to chance anything that could get them removed from Steam. Watch any of the past interviews with the devs or VA's, they are very upfront about how 'vanilla' this would be.

Still, evidently not vanilla enough for the vanilla-stans, but not quite hardcore enough for the OG StudioFOW fans. No wonder the ratings are mixed.

Sorry, I meant at what point in the story. I just had Killi join me, and was thinking of just doing side stuff for a bit. Would I be better to progress the plot a bit more, or should I level her and Lily up ASAP while doing side quests?

You're going to eventually max everyone, its a question of who you choose to do first. Also remember DEMI's parts to level her up are also spread across the galaxies. If you want to rush through the story and do everything else that's up to you.

If you prefer I would do everything in the initial dragon region, pick up Ela, so all the sidequests and get the mantics in Hydra, move to Taron in Kraken, pick her up to unlock tier 2 upgrades for the ship, then you have all of Hydra and Kraken to explore for the resource to get those upgrades.

Coming in hot! FULL (?) 1.0 save. There are a few nodes that are locked for whatever reason. Besides that, everything is unlocked, all characters at level 40, fully unlocked pandora. Enjoy!

Steam version: Extract and drop in Steam\userdata(ID)\1034140\remote

Cracked version: Extract and drop in C:\Users\(your username)\AppData\Roaming\Goldberg SteamEmu Saves

Edit : added save file directory for both Steam and Cracked version of the game.

If you have the cracked version and don't see a folder for Subverse in AppData\Roaming\Goldberg SteamEmu Saves then the save should be in a different folder in AppData\Roaming called GSE Saves!

Yeah its an awful grind atm. Somehow they made a porn game grindy as hell.

I tried editing the new save file with save edit online. It does edit the file (only changing PP, credits, tech, and bio).
This used to work in previous versions but in this version it seems to ignore the save file in
C:\Users\<username here>\AppData\Local\Subverse\Saved\SaveGames\SubverseSaveGame001\0.sav

However, in loading the game you'll see nothing has changed so don't know where the "real" save is.

So with the hints from multiple posts here .... found the real save to edit with save edit online.
In the past I had first installed steam on my D drive then moved everything to E for space reasons.
So the file was found here: D:\Steam\userdata\97725722\1034140\remote\SubverseSaveGame001 <-- is actual name of file not a folder.
(just browsed around by file date)

If you append the file name with the extension of .sav then upload to save edit online it will process it.
Then re-download the edit, remove the extension of .sav and put the file back.

You get to fuck the space sluts, and the space sluts get to fuck everyone else too.

It kinda makes sense... but do they actually? From what i could see the girls' scenes with mantics/other people (or rather "other person", since they don't really do anything with other "npcs") only happen inside "PANDORA", which is basically a simulation (if i got it right).

Yeah I'm sure the several millions Kickstarter they managed to collect from fans of their previous works(that was solely monster rape/gangbang movies), just wanted a lovey dovey romance and wholesome hand-holding game. That's exactly what the people who funded this project was expecting Absolutely delusional.

If anything, they betrayed most backers and fans by making the game TOO MUCH vanilla. Having all the hardcore scenes be "non-canonical" to appeal to a wider audience but evidently end up satisfying nobody. That at least we can agree on.

I mean posted the screenshot showing what they claimed they were doing and didn't and they clearly picked up a lot of new people based on the reactions as for where we agree. If they wan't going to follow through with what they said they were going to do, then yeah they should have just focused on catering to their old fanbase simple as. Though I think the rating still would have been bad because once again. They disconnected the porn from the story completely, which is something everyone agreed was a shit move.

If there was an option for someone to request that, I wouldn't care that much. Many games do optional content and it added to the story, while making it optional to that persons play-through. Go play any of the numerous games on this forum, I doubt this is the only game you've played here. My complaint is that you can have context and things added to the story, without making it mandatory via dialogue options and story choices. I mean you have to played examples of this, can you really not think of one? They picked the worst of all worlds by just making everything entirely context-less and pointless is my feedback here. Just make shorts and don't bother with a game at that point.

Honestly speaking, I don't care about any of that except the animations. It's not on the expected level compared to their Actual animations(before this game), but I won't argue about it, I'll just write a review later.

Then it sounds like you would have been happier if they just focused on the animations instead of a game then right? Because that would have been at least better animations instead or at least more of them. My complaint is that the game and the animations don't mix at all, so just focus on the porn then and drop the game if you're not going to do so. That is all.
