They made the porn disconnected with the gameplay, this is why most of the reviews are negative

I find this argument rather silly. Because half the complaints are that the content in pandora is short, but yet they also want it connected into the story.

Personally, I think the reason they did it this way is so players that didn’t want to watch certain content (and there were soooo many that don’t) that they don’t have to see it if they don’t unlock it. Pandora even has filters to avoid such a situation. That’s why the main story content just features scenes relevant to said story: I.E plot scenes between the captain and the waifus he recruits.

That being said, they are changing the waifu’s progression system and are updating all the planet encounters. So perhaps the version people have been wanting so much will be in 1.0. Something so big is not something that could’ve been dropped into the middle of the game development.

I never said, that a game that is unfinished is a waste of time. I said, that a bad game is a waste of time!

It's basically the same type of cringe dialogue you'd find in porno films just in the trappings of a pseudo-space opera.

The ratings are pretty accurate. Game isn't good. It's a terrible slog-fest, combined with shitty dialogue and rather boring MC. People need to stop chalking it up to early NTR. It doesn't exist, and people understand that now.

Point is the sex scenes are godawful, you can find better ones just looking at JAVs, Porn, or even other games here, and they at least have story relevance. Here they're an after-thought and not really worth the effort to see them. Since they're not even interactable, they're just shitty 3D porn, that you could see by looking at anyone from the animations tab, at least there you got a lot of variety.

Ultimately Subverse does porn terribly, game isn't that fun, story isn't good, and the overall cast is just eh... I could find better casts of characters in other stuff found here. But the most damning factor is as a porn game the porn just sucks. I could look up the scenes online, and they're not too different from just watching another creators animations.

I agree, Projekt Passion is what the game should be but with all that backing there seems to be a real lack of creative talent behind Subverse.

That's the issue. With a high budget like they had how are the sex scenes so lacking? I mean most like myself could forgive the game for having lackluster story and gameplay if the porn was just as good, but it isn't. It's the tamest, most boring stuff around.

And you’re also taking into account the game isn’t done yet, I’d hope. Even now in its current state it still blows practically everything else on this site out of the water. I can’t go back to basic VN’s with no voice acting, Renpy models with slightly different haircuts, and combat mechanics that are basic as match 3 or click the right object in the background.

It isn't really worn out m8. You don't introduce substantial changes to the system in the midst of development. Most of the feedback the game has been given won't be applied until the system changes. Doing things like part-way into development is how you can screw things up, like duke nukem forever.

I am not gaslighting anyone, I'm trying to argue that calling this game a failure is just objectively wrong. If you don't like the comedy or the smut that's presently available, fine. But its disingenuous to say you've seen everything when you literally haven't yet.

The dating system at the bar is changing (ties to the leveling changes as mentioned above)
The planets and random scenarios is changing (in response to the feedback about integrating pandora content into the story)

I called it repetitive because it's tedious to play. I even think it's fine because I like XCOM, my point stands. Them changing the way leveling work won't change the gameplay. The equipment being added is also not going to change the base game anyway.

Also that being said, they said they would only continue active development if the dough was still coming in. So even after 1.0, there is no guarantee that they will introduce anything else.

Like how most animations are in this game already? You're acting like they're not already thrown in there without any context. What point do they serve in the game already? About the same as most smut animations being made normally. So, your argument doesn't hold any water. It would if they made them relevant to the plot of the game, or had any reason for them, but they did not. So it's essentially just a shitty 3D animation with very lackluster payoff. I'd take just watching an animation over buying Subverse for the porn, because at least with that I get more context in a 1 minute animation than I do a Subverse porn scene.

Soooo like the quest lines to recruit each lady thus far, with numerous dialogue scenes and cinematics, not to mention the pre-beginning teasers to them that were added around Sova’s update (in response to player feedback) don’t qualify? Or the same which is going to occur for the devotion scenes, which lest we forget will be several minutes of cinematic bonking? So times ten is about 30-40 minutes? I think they’re already gonna give enough in the story as is.

The pandora scenes don’t really need much context (though they already gave some with text descriptions which were added from feedback, go figure). The ladies are horny and despite how fast you might skip along the story, takes place over a long period of time (Killision’s map hunt is noted to be several weeks). So Pandora scenes to me is simply all the fucking they had along the way.

A reference is a reference and the MC can be presented at first with that reference. After the introduction, the player can be given the option to disable the said reference, as it's as it can come off as cringeworthy, especially combined with the dialogue. So I don't agree on that point.
