Not much, actually.66 GB ???? i have a question. how much content in the game ????
66 gb is a lottt of space
Delete the 4K DLC if you don't have a 4K monitor. The game will immediately take up ~35GB.

Cuz it didn't really live up to the hypeOk I have a question
How the fuck did we ended up having a 2.5 stars score for this gem?
I've been on f95 and shitton of other swamps for NSFW games since 2015, in more than 10 years of endless 3dcg, RPGM, same poses, same plots, same father gone mafia shit, this title is one of the few exceptions in an endless abyss of souless patreonmilking garbageIm looking at you, Sadcrab. How is this even real? You have NTR AI Renpy sloppa with 4-5 stars. A SIMS RENDER WITH IRL STOCK PHOTO BACKGROUNDS IS SITTING AT 3. Lord have mercy, a certain visual novel about witches and the new director of Hogwarts, that was already in development before Subverse even hit the kickstarter STILL DOESN'T HAVE A FULLY FUNCTIONAL STORY... and its sitting at 3 stars.
Whats wrong with you, boys?

It had a bit of a stumble out of the gate, initial early access version didn’t have too much content, and took about 7 months for its first major update (which they explained with bringing in more staff and their lead dev taking paternity leave).Ok I have a question

yeah i agree, this really is a Hugh step for the adult game industry but sadly it dosent have the support and creed it deserves, i started adult gaming back in the days on new grounds sim date games and played many adult games since then. And there are just few that sits at the top and Subverse is on of themOk I have a question

Honestly sometimes it seems like they want/wanted this game to fail. Yeah sure “being quiet” is the “studio fow” way but holy fuck the way their site has been down and the lukewarm reception Subverse has gotten just makes it seem like they want to be over developing it anymorei wonder if next month is the month we will get an update, they said the q4 of 2025 they would realse the dlc or give us an update
That's exactly what many crybabies don't understand: for such a small company with no experience in games, releasing such a game and even trying to support it after all the whiners is worth a lot.It had a bit of a stumble out of the gate, initial early access version didn’t have too much content, and took about 7 months for its first major update (which they explained with bringing in more staff and their lead dev taking paternity leave).
Mainly tho its have poor estimation as to what budgets mean. They also expected a dark kunoichi style non-com romp and didn’t care for the lighter tone and ‘cringe humor’ (comedy like most things is subjective). They didn’t like the primary gameplay loops, equating them to mini games (which personally I think is what those match-3 type games actually are), and also dislike that we didn’t automatically get the empress by the story’s end (as though she would do a 180 on the religion she’d been raised on since birth in an instant). She’s likely going to end up as the dlc extra they’re working on anyway.
They don’t like that most of the smut is a scene viewer not integrated into the story. This I find is not that big a deal as most of the content will not appeal to everyone (one involves a lady fisting the MC for example), so the primary story scenes are the ones most relevant, ie their recruitment and devotion scenes. People attempted to offer various options to do so, but again do not take into account the team size, time, and budget they were working with. They were not lounging on Patreon income, nor where they bloated with excess money with too much to ala Star Citizen, they had an plan and stuck to it.
So tldr they thought they were getting mass effect FOW edition but don’t understand what goes into game development, especially for one of this scale.
People thought they were getting Mass Effect FOW Edition because FOW themselves directly named Mass Effect as one of the inspirations for the game.It had a bit of a stumble out of the gate, initial early access version didn’t have too much content, and took about 7 months for its first major update (which they explained with bringing in more staff and their lead dev taking paternity leave).

Final Fantasy Tactics was also the inspiration for the grid combat, I wasn't going to expect a deep job system for every race in the game. There is a difference between inspiration and clone.People thought they were getting Mass Effect FOW Edition because FOW themselves directly named Mass Effect as one of the inspirations for the game.

Also Mass Effect wasn't Bioware's first game ever. It was their 8th, after KOTOR, one of their most acclaimed titles.
So it was the first game published by this studio but it was made by experienced developers under professional management. According to them, at least. The same chart-topping team that's released 16 movies to the public in 4 years of running is behind the day-to-day operation of this project. 16 movies in 4 years is an unprecedented track record that nobody else in the hentai industry has remotely come close to matching. Most major studios release 1-2 movies a year at best. Therefore the animation and cinematic portions of the game pose absolutely no risk whatsoever, it's basically bread and butter for our core team.
Having said that, we also realize that game development is different to filmmaking, therefore we have filled the gaps in our studio with experienced programmers and full-stack developers who themselves have delivered successful projects to Steam before. Combined with the retention of our core animation and creative team who have been working together for the past 5 years, we feel extremely confident that we can deliver a game of this scope within the targeted time period.
Through conservative reward goals, we will control feature creep and by employing experienced project managers with 20+yrs of industry experience we will strive to ensure that all dick-shaped spaceships are correctly functioning on time.
If I remember correctly, many people in the studio have left, I doubt they are hiring for those positions now.Honestly sometimes it seems like they want/wanted this game to fail. And now we just obliterate its score because of it, ignoring how massive the project is for the NSFW scene?Cuz it didn't really live up to the hype
Dude I backed it, and I'm in the credits for helping test the builds, I think I know what went into this. If you're disappointed that's on you, but there's way more positivity elsewhere. They explained away their lack of dev experience in the Kickstarter.

Honestly just go read the original Kickstarter pitch if you actually want to know why people are disappointed with the final product instead of accusing everyone who complains of having unrealistic expectations.
Here's the opinion of someone who bought the game on day one. At first, I was really excited. I wasn't expecting something hardcore, but I was expecting a hentai experience, and that was achieved. Sadly, it was only about four hours of gameplay and a few scenes that really made you think, but the hype disappeared because it took them from March to September to release the Ela update. Then they set a goal to release a waifu every three months... That tired the community because in three months, sometimes not many scenes were completed, and I won't even mention the favoritism (Sova had six months of content with 21 scenes, while Taron only had nine). When the ending came where you can't coshar the princess, I got angry... For a long time... Once I calmed down, I realized that they really dedicated themselves to the game. I mean, with only 8 GB of RAM and an Intel Core I3, the game can run at medium quality, which is pretty incredible. Even though the jokes are American humor, I can tell you that most of them are funny and the story is interesting. It's just that people rate something and forget to change their rating... I had given it a negative rating until I remembered and changed it to a positive one.

I forgot how racist gringos were xd
I would calculate the scene disparity to a couple things, 1) the 20 custom scenes added by the whale-tier backers. Based on what they asked for, they would feel the need to change the type of scenes each gal got. FOW-chan doesn't have all of hers yet either.I personally thought the game was fine. I had reasonable expectations and I enjoyed my time with it. My only issues is that the writing is bad. Like just dated and kinda cringe and the uneven distribution of pandora scenes. Also just the way FOW have handled their own property just rubs me the wrong way. Like this is your big game to show the world what you got and they barely mention it aside when they have to.
I think people don't understand how little 1.7 million dollars are. If you take that and spilt it up by 20 people that's only about $85,000 for each, and I am pretty sure there are more than 20 working on this project. You would probably have a better understanding than I do, but I would assume they use the Kickstarter as a way of generating investment to fund the game. I work with my family business and that not even what we make a year and we don't even have haft that amount of employees, and if we made haft that much we would be out of business with in 2 months. A dollar isn't what it used to be but a big pile will always be a big pile.Dude I backed it, and I'm in the credits for helping test the builds, I think I know what went into this. I'm sure if they had all the time in the world and a monthly income, they could take their time and build it up even more. But then I'm sure the thread would then be complaining about them taking too long and milking the patrons for money (like every other artist thread on here that takes a while to create anything)
