It's more like "Do you want a bit of game with your PORN", or do you want a bit of porn with your GAME"...
People made up their mind about what the "GAME" should have been before it was released and got disappointed, but that is on them. Hype and to high expectations is never good.

Me personally I saw the writing on the wall.
When I saw it was a studioFOW property and I know I dislike 99% of their works I was ready to ignore the project. When they said, they were targeting more mainstream appeal, I thought I might as well pay attention. Hearing stuff like,
mass effect with porn, and
gather alien waifus and go on adventures, I thought, hey maybe this won't be so bad. Was especially hopeful with the designs of the girls.
Then I saw mantic content. They said they'd include it so as to not disappoint their longtime fans and so of course I thought well that's a shame. Then I heard from them that adult content is set completely separate from the main game because they want to
let you choose which scenes to unlock, and I realized I'd never be happy with it. Seriously, who would want to romance a girl who fucks a dog in her spare time.
They're just cowards.
They were too scared of their own sexual proclivities to make it a part of the main narrative. If they were honest about their own desires, I would've ignored the game entirely, just like other NTR/Bestiality and their other works. But no, they caved to fan pressure knowing entirely they weren't on board with making a game with general appeal in sexual content.
They focused their efforts on to non-erotic elements because they as designers couldn't design their games around the sexual content, in a way where interacting with the sexual content was a part of playing the game.

What's the most disappointing about this whole situation though is the fan reaction.
So many fans are extremely disappointed and angry.
I'm just here thinking... how.
How did they not see this coming?
This all came from information they themselves gave as the game was going through its development process.
Everyone had full access to StudioFOW's prior works so everyone should know where they are sexually.
Nothing about the EA is a surprise. Literally nothing, but the SHOCK the fans have is insane. I'm just learning that consumers really can be quite stupid.

this game is garbage but polished better than 99.9% of porn games seems to be the consesus
It's an Unreal Engine 4 game with custom 3D models, voice acting, and good UI design.
It's really high quality in general presentation, and that should definitely be respected.
