Well they kinda did say that was "This game is an unholy mixture of SHMUP’s, Tactical RPGs, Mass Effect exploration and a sprinkling of eroge goodness." so they brought the comparison themselves. Many things change from the time they made the KS to now hell aliens sex scene ware a stretch goal so I get what people say about the NTR.

The ME style exploration is there isn't it? People that played ME should very well remember move that tiny spaceship around on the map and explore planets, anomalies and what not.

In a game where gameplay is primary focus and whatever lewd shit (porn), because some secondary, reward for milestones/achievement in the game. Yeah, it become a game with porn it it, not just a porn game.

This implies these games only treat the porn as a secondary reward and not one of the main things your meant to strive towards unlocking/farming. Subverse tots the fact that everyone wants to fuck throughout the story, as some sex scenes you can encounter in the game, has chars mention who they fucked and what they want to fuck, as has sex during cinematic cutscenes. It is a porn game that simply handles its porn implementation badly.

Such games is awful for people who just want lewd shit quick and dirty. There is games/vn (whatever to call it), on this site that just serve up one pussy after the other assembly line style... There is people that gobble this up, but for people that want an actual game that is poor shit. If I play games such as Mystwood Manor, MIST, or whatever. I don't play those games because they give a urge to start rub the helmet..

It sounds like you simply don't have much experience with hentai games that do have gameplay. There are lots of gameplay filled hentai games that are primarily focused around their porn content, yet people who primarily play them for porn are still able to enjoy the gameplay aspects of the game. Rance's sometimes awards you a sex scene (through the story) from finishing a battle/quest, while also allowing you to engage them through dialogue and side conversations. The same applies to Demonion. In fact, none of the sex is locked behind quests or awards. You recruit girls the same exact way you do in Subverse. You just have the option to do side content with them until they want to fuck you, then you can have different kind of sex scenes with them, or have them fuck other people/monsters. Demonion is actually very close to Subverse's format, except it doesn't use a weird Pandora-like system.

What point are you trying to make here? Didn't we already establish through the hundreds of pages in the thread that plenty of people came to Subverse for the porn that was advertised? For the 50th time, Studio Fow only shied away from porn being random encounters in the game's story a whole year after they originally advertised it as something we'd see. It's not his fault for buying the game under those pretenses and then finding out they scrapped those ideas.

Hell, people are already only comparing it to other VNs and kinetic novels narratively. And other arcade gameloop "games with porn" that did more with less. How many more handicaps do you want? It isn't even in the same conversation as a real "AAA Porn game" like Wildlife, despite being the same target demo with the same funding range.

You don't seem to appreciate how little people really expected out of Subverse for this new build. Expectations were so low most probably assumed it couldn't get any bleaker. Almost anything remotely positive would have sufficed. Anything, even just one of the myriad of known problems, actually addressed. You sure seemed to be banking on it before release, yet changed you tune right quick after it got in peoples hands.

Mass effect exploration - yeah and that clearly ended up being the traveling between galaxies part. Less you were also expecting Mako driving levels, I don't think that was subject to exaggeration.

Also mantics were always going to have scenes, the milestone added additional ones.

Studio Fow's devs and staff refer to it as a porn game in their own Discord servers and do not correct people to not call it a porn game when replying to posts there. This is something solely being pushed by you. Them talking about how much gameplay ideas they have for it doesn't magically mean we have to call it something else and can't critic the porn as much as we normally would. You'd never make this kind of argument in their discord. The mods, any devs that were online, and the regulars that love the game would call you out on this stupid stuff.

You and Joshua don't get to watch an interview video of where a dev enthusiastically talks about his gameplay plans (and not once makes the distinction that it's not a porn game), and then take the drastic leap to push your stupid "it's not a porn game" narrative on other people.

Dude some of the most popular things in the world just aren't appealable to some people. Some people don't like sports, some don't like Marvel movies, this could be the most perfect game ever, and there will still be some people that will say 'meh doesn't deserve it'. That's the point I'm getting at. As many people that complain about aspects of the game, I can find just as many that love it. Its gonna be divisive in the end no matter what.

Well the problem is communication alone does not do anything. The truth is they market and latter they said “Well boys we made some mistakes and we said and market X but we are making Y” Well i pay 70 bucks for X
They are doing more or less the same CDPR did, they said yes we made a mistake but we will just finish the Y not deliver X.

Only thing I don't like about the game is the gallery/pandora. The porn scenes should be interwoven into the story i.e. someone offering to pay with sex and getting the scene right then and there.

Im pretty sure that no sane person with any kind of gaming expirience would say he thiniks any part of the game, exept char. design and voice acting, is ok. Everything is much less good than expected from ordinary game.
