I actually have the game on Steam and I voiced my opinion on the mantic scenes. It does feel like the captain is not really the star of the game. Even though they advertised it to be that way to attract a larger audience. Yet the whole Pandora system is just filled with mantic sex or toys or lesbian stuff. Which is fine but let's be real here. The majority of people who would play this game are going to be guys. Most guys are not into mantic sex. So, it's really sad that they are only catering to a small demographic for majority of their scenes.

I get that StudioFlow was a studio that was known for its bestiality videos or gifs. Now they are making a game for a wider audience and to be blunt. I don't care for all the mantic sex scenes. It's fine that it has some but like you said if you filter out just the captain only scenes with the girls. It's like a small fraction of the videos you can unlock.

Like I think Lily has about 30 scenes and about 8 or those scenes are with the captain. So, talk about getting cucked on your own ship.

Another thing that annoyed me about the update was their lightning or bloom effects. You can tell someone who is super unexperienced with lighting just turn on the switch on some of the scenes making it washed out.

The combat is meh. It's boring. I mean outside from the story mission stuff. The space and ground combat is an boring mess.

Yup. I have exactly ZERO use for the Pandora system. Can't even remember the last time I really bothered to look at it. I started playing this game for the porn, ended up playing it for the game cause the porn does sweet fuck all for me. Not here to watch mantics and the other crew fuck each other. I don't care it the crew fuck each other, I have fuckall interest in watching it.

Got it on steam too. A friend saw it on my wishlist who does reviews and game testing, so he gets a shitload of keys and passes them out amongst our discord channel. "Our" being a group of gamer friends playing various games together for 15ish years. It's sometimes handy not hiding the fact you're a perv who plays lewd games from your friends :}

Yeah, pretty much. Although I guess it depends on how you feel about tentacles and alien mutant things fucking the girls instead of "The Captain". If that's your jam you'll be happy and cumming buckets since that's basically 95% of the H-scenes.
Annoying since the renders are actually quite good. Big fan of Elara's, because, you know, elf.

that will let you move the camera freely in UE4 games amongst other things. I've used it on this game for that purpose and it works fine. You inject it into the game similarly to how Special K works if you've ever used that. The page I linked has the download and also has all the info/guides about how to use it and what it does.

Yeah that's how I saw the dick passing through Fortune. I've come to accept that sex scenes in this game are just loops and gifs and the core is the space shooter thing (honestly thought it's the other way around when I gladly paid for it).
Unlocked all of Fortune's scenes now and I just hope we get more animations with speed sliders in the future (go fast, slow, etc).

I am too old to care what people think about what I play. I play a variety of games. Some of them are adult games

I think the only thing that keeps me interested in this game is the story. Now grant it, it's not like God of War story telling but it does a good job of keeping me interested. The voice acting is good.

Now like you mentioned about the pandora system. They have all these scenes which most of them you have no control of. You are basically just watching a gif play out. Some of them offer a way to increase the speed and a cum button. But other than that, there is no option to view the scenes from different angles or nothing. The number of mantic scenes is pathetically high. That there is no point in doing the space or ground combat mission that you can do by scanning different planets. I don't care about tentacles or machine gun vibrators. It just doesn't interest me. So yeah, on that front it's disappointing.

Now the combat is okay, but I found only in short bursts. Only doing a few of them at a time and stopping. Or else you are going to be bored to tears.

The game is okay. But if I am being honest. I enjoyed the Being Adik chapter 9 update more than I did this update.

Am I the only one who never actually played the core game mechanic? What I've did since I found this game was just to request/find a save in this thread, load it up, and go to the Pandora and find the new scenes.

I still don't know what the story is or who the characters are besides their names. It's like Overwatch porn, never played it but still know who the characters are.

Sad that you dont have control over the camera in Pandora scenes. Not even the speed of the animations. (and it looks like they dont have plans on implementing, seeing the unlocked scenes where Fortune's model get squished and the dude's dick just passed through her stomach)

The scenes aren't animated for 360 view. Thats why they don't let you do it natively. Many animators do this trick in many games and it works because the engine they pick usually doesn't render 3D models. Like in renpy games, the animated scenes and scenes in general will just be a video of a pre-rendered scene they made in some other program and imported it. In Unreal, they're actually rendering the scene in engine. Some animators in some games do take care when they do use engines like Unreal or Unity and do make their animations look good in a full 360 view. But I think Studio Fow is just using the same style of animation they are used to when they just did porn videos, and applying it to this game. Its a shame, but it is what it is. So they make the animation look great from the angle they want, but then yeah you see penises pass through things, body parts missing, weird textures, etc when you move the camera outside of that preferred angle.

The story here is god aweful and doesn't take itself seriously at all and is full of tons and tons of cheese, poorly executed dirty humor/innuendos, and mostly shallow characters that play their archetypes/tropes almost completely straight on. I do agree the voice acting is good but Studio FOW has always had great voice actors.

As far as the porn goes, I agree it's pretty dissapointing compared to their old stuff and imo wasn't worth them giving up their videos at all, but in the realm of similar games (with a hundredth of their funding lmao), it's a pretty standard nearly static (or might as well be static) loop without much build up or play through, and the way you get them seperates them pretty strongly from the core game.

The gameplay itself is just bleh. I'm not one to judge peoples' tastes, but I'm shocked anyone could consider the gameplay even remotely good. It's repetitive, poorly balanced (usually leaning on boringly easy then throws out awkward and sudden difficulty spikes), and shallow. I was an original supporter of the game having been a really big fan of them for a while, but man, I couldn't have predicted such a collassal failure of a game. They couldn't even get the one thing they've been doing forever and are known for right, but hey, a lesson learned I guss. I usually don't support games pre-release and this is why, lol. They're also waaaaaaaaaaaay off development schedule now too and pretty much slit any momentum and hype they had as a potential high-quality adult game across the throat.

I'm not alone in these opinions as the Steam reviews echo them more or less. It's not the worst pron game I've ever played, but it'll never be the best and probably not even a good one. If they ever actually finish, it'll probably be something worth ripping scenes from and that's about it.

I really hope Studio Fow gives up games after this and goes back to making videos, lmao.
