I get the impression it will be the occasional free-roam like in BaDIK, although those got pretty long eventually. I don't mind those too much, but I think that game had too many find-the-pixel minigames in them. It got to the point in later chapters that I just stopped looking for the silly things and just followed the story and got a gallery unlocker instead.

My personal thoughts on the matter putting aside, both sides have shared their takes on it and it just seems to be going on and on.
Such matter ongoing I just don't see it boding well for this thread with endless argument back and forth.
Same issue was present in another game's (name which I won't mention) thread on this site, and at one point it had gotten so bad that a moderator had to intervene and did a mass-deletion ("mass cleansing") of whole bunch of posts because the thread became a literal dumpster fire of in-fighting mess.
Here's hoping both sides of that debate just move on (instead discuss other more positive aspects of the game) and history doesn't repeat again here.....

I have no problem with this game (almost: I don't like forced relationships from the beginning of the game, because if I have to dump the girl later, I'll feel like an asshole). Otherwise, I like it.

That being extended to the whole "I hate NTR" vs "I support NTR" regardless of what one likes that endless argument is the quickest way for a thread to become a dumpster fire.

I'm fine with there being so many asshole characters as long as they stay assholes and that I don't get punished for not being nice to them.
There's nothing that pisses me off more than writers making me endure the abuse of assholes, only to be forced through some kind of redemption arc where I have to empathize with their sob story or circumstances. Where I have to be the bigger man in order to get along with someone that would never extend that curtesy to someone themselves. Don't do that thing where she gets to be a selfish stone cold bitch all the time but if I give her the same treatment she starts to cry and make ME feel bad. Keep all the rich assholes as rich assholes so that I can win this contest without it being some guilt trip where I have to feel bad for the losers.

Ok I've played through a couple chapters of SnowStorm and I see what you mean. The primary difference between them and why I didn't like Bella is that she enjoyed being an asshole to everyone. She thought it was a fun idea to play a pretty mean spirited prank on a complete stranger on their first day of college, and not once did she offer any hint of apology to the MC or his step sister for it later on in the story. Instead her behavior continued and escalated. It was her hobby.
Mathilda on the other hand has something going on making her keep men at arms length, but she's not out pranking people and going out of her way to be a bitch. She's doing it defensively.
This game doesn't have the harem tag (yet?) which implies we're not necessarily supposed to try to sleep with all four women. So I hope that they each have a platonic path, and I hope it isn't minimum interaction!
I mean I also would want an option on each LI to have minimal interaction just for principle's sake, but I wouldn't expect to use them personally in this game. First of all - I think it's a great idea with Cast Section with characters and their backstories, it's always good to know who are LIs.
Also thanks for giving an option to turn down Kitty, I don't mind her and MC having a past, just not a huge fan when LIs are forced on me romantically.
Besides Kitty all LIs (ones we met at least) look interesting, each in her own way.
So far my favourites would be Catherine and Suki.
Yeah, Cath is a spoiled bitch (at least she wants us to think this way), but that's fine, I am sooo gonna still her from her hubby)).
Though at this moment I'm not sure it will be stealing but more like a rescue mission for her "Howie" (joking)
Not gonna comment on typos in dialogues here and there, but in general dialogues are fun and very easy to read.
The whole convo with Catherine was a blast lol, she has a sharp tongue and I like it, chat with Suki with her constant innuendos also was fine.

- "Back" button in Cast Section doesn't work;
- There were misplaced/missing renders at the beginning

Well thats kinda annoying. Why did my reply get deleted at the tail end of a conversation (to be specific the 8th post in this quote-line since the other games were mentioned) about other games that the dev has approved of and been involved in? Was this a drive-by modding by someone that hasn't been reading the last few pages at all?
The gist of the deleted post was that after the heretical discussion, I no longer believed that Catherine was similar to those other tsunderes that shan't be named. She was being haughty and standoffish with the MC, but as the dev said it is coming from a place of fear. Not for herself, she has her own title and husband. She was deferential to her mother and didn't show any ill will towards her siblings that I could see. I think she's scared that if the MC becomes heir he'll kick her family out of the household. In addition we should note that she and her twin are also a rags-to-riches story like the MC is now, just from a younger age. If the MC can offer an olive branch I don't think it will be difficult to find common ground with her. The big question is whether or not she is on good terms with her twin. He is such a chad fop that it's not impossible that they're not on good terms, so it may not be difficult to get her vote after all.

It would not be a waste of time. Sure, it wouldn't satisfy the Pure Harem faction, but who cares? I for one would love an ending in a throuple with Suki and her secret lover, one of the hot maids. (I'm just making shit up because we don't know any of the side characters yet, but you get the point.) Not to forget Kitty, and maybe we can add another sister and/or houseguest and/or servant to the FWB list. Whatever makes some semblance of sense within AVN porn logic and wouldn't be too difficult to add to the endings.
