It might be that the music files are also stripped in the compressed version to save space for the download. At least those which are im the RTP itself.

Either works. The older RPGMaker engine games had self extracting .exe files, but more extracting programs should be able to extract them fine as well.

Try talking to everyone in the temple (where the teleport is) and possibly downstairs. Maybe it's the Archmage (upstairs in the temple)?

Damn these are good. I pray to the lord sweet baby jesus that some fan will take it upon themselves to make a renpy port of this game with updated ai images! How hot would that be, judging from your work here. Thanks for your work and thanks for sharing. Makes me wanna give the game another playthrough.
