Game crashed, no text or nothing, just closed out on one of the shop squares. Ive been wanting to play this English for a little while, is there a goal? Like when does it end?

Yes, because that would help with the random crashes. 2-10 minutes working completely fine and out of nothing it crashes, no connection between them. You wish to tell me that the bad coding of the game is magically fixed one you put japanese locale yeah right. I'v played games before that need japan locale and these games will not even run before u run in with that locale. So cut the crap.
If you so wish to waste others time by recommending a fundamentaly broken game i can't stop you. But i stand by what i said. This game is broken and dealing with constant crashes is NOT my idea of a great time.
Yeah I don't remember crashes playing the original game in Japanese, this is either an older version with bugs or the translation caused bugs to happen I'm afraid to say
Its nothing to do with the coding of the game, the issue you are having is because your computer doesn't know how to read the Japanese characters used in some of the file names so its changed them to a bunch of symbols, I explained it in a previous post
