It's quite poor (particularly in a non-harem game) to make the MC have thoughts about the girls. You have to choose an LI path, so you do and then you are forced to fantasize about someone else???? It's not very good writing and/or dialogue pathing.

in some games/scenes it could be even ridiculous - i still remember one scene in popular game where mc is approaching some chick and he "thinks": "omg, she smells divine, she is so hot..." and with the very next render in the same scene here comes the choice: 1) this girl is hot, i like her perfume 2) i dont like her smell, she doesnt seem interesting to me
