It's been so long since I've seen Eve in an update that I almost forgot what she looks like... Thanks for reminding me

Status Update #55
Hello everyone!
This week we continued with polishing, editing and clicking pixels.
We ended up dismantling a branching scene with several paths. It felt fun in the scripting phase, but it's a branch that limits playthroughs unnecessarily with needless options. In some ways sure these are great since they offer replayability, but sometimes players might not even realize other paths or content even exists. Or they just play once. So, we decided to make it more straightforward without cutting content or being punishing with the unlockable content later on.
Along with editing and proofing, we also worked on the laptop UI and content. And before you think "Oh great, they are working on extra shit again," this is the first update with the laptop in it. It has a lot of moving parts which could potentially throw issues, and we don't want it to be a buggy mess in the future. Or worse, ugly. Besides, it's also very relevant to the plot.
For example, here's a random news article snippet featuring one of Rosewood's many founders:

There are many locations in Rosewood named after the prestigious Mr. Gooner, such as Gooner Lake, which will be explored in the future. Just a little bit of world building in the background. There's plenty more, but it's of course skippable/missable for the fellows who only play for lewds.
And on the topic of lewds, this week was a pretty good one when it came to editing one of the scenes. We added new renders to show some extra angles that may be of interest, and optimized the animation quality for that scene as well. Overall, feeling good about it. Looking forward to having this scene out for everyone to play.

The only ones who shoot themself in the foot are the whiners that over fixate on this game for months and convinced themself it's gonna be bad. You guys sure won't be able to enjoy it no matter what it end up to be. You would be better go wait for something else or relax a little bit, does it really matter how long it take when you really thing about it? It's just one videogame not a cure for cancer.I'm almost certain the only thing they'll release this month is a special Halloween render. I had a feeling they would keep extending the update cycles more and more. This one has been going on for 14 months, pushing 15. The next one will probably be a year and a half, and so on.
Honestly, they're just shooting themselves in the foot. They build up all these expectations and increase the pressure, so when the update finally drops, it's almost guaranteed to be just as underwhelming as the last one. Not because it will be bad, but because the development cycle is so drawn-out that it can't possibly live up to the hype.
