When people write things like this about Summer Heat, I wonder if we have played the same game. The story is so far pretty much non-existent, and the characters don't even have any meaningful development since all girls get instantly interested in the MC.

This game is as popular as it is because visually it looks amazing and that's it. Not that it's a bad thing given it's an AVN obviously.

It’s the only game I never got bored of, not even for a single moment, and I haven’t skipped any of its lines.
It’s a game that keeps me completely engaged; there’s something mysterious about it that keeps my attention the whole time.
The atmosphere, the ambient sounds around you, the charm, softness, and beauty of the girls, and the game’s menus are excellent — I consider them some of the best menus I’ve ever seen and very easy on the eyes.
Maybe its story isn’t the best, but I certainly never got bored of it for even a moment, unlike most games with good stories that I get bored of quickly.

Instead of constantly telling us how they are working so hard and how they achieved so much, every week, maybe give as a clue what is left to do for the update to be finished i think we sre more interested in that, and it would be about time they stopped keeping us in the dark about it.

Basically because they said they were 90 to 95% done back in August so now that they keep finding new stuff to do before the release, they keep most estimates to themselves; although they did say they were going to release the update this year, a few weeks back, but even that gets unlikelier by the week.

Hello, everyone!

This week we've been working on the bio info for the main ladies, among other things. It's basically their profile for the game, in the game. These profiles will include all the typical kinds of information you'd expect like eye color, traits, booty size, cup size, height, weight and so on. And if you have any ideas for other things you'd like to see included, do suggest!

Some of the new UI feels a little bit wonky right now, mainly on the Freeplay laptop. We'll work on that still so it's smooth and good when you play it.

There was also a request for more design workshop pictures. Unfortunately we don't have anything interesting from there to show right now, but we intend to pick back up with the design workbench once the next design phase begins. That way you can get a better feel for what we're working on when we talk about outfits or any other interesting asset, such as the toaster.

A new preview of 0.7 dropped this week, featuring Eve on a speedy rental e-scooter. There's also a glimpse of Player to her side.

The progress for 0.7 is somewhere around 90% to 95% right now. There's also a render goal we'd like to hit but we might fall just a hair short of that. We'll see!

We also worked on some of the fun extra renders for the update, such as Ember and pictures from the past of a certain young teacher.

I like Summer Heat. The visuals are top notch and even without a clear plot so far, it’s still somehow interesting.

But 15 months without an update for this game is just insane. At this point I’m just waiting for MC to bang the milf and then move on.

They did the same thing for 0.6, where after 0.5 took a while they had announced they would do a shorter update that would come out faster. After a few months their progress bars reached a high percentage, and it seemed like they were on track for that.

Then, the progress bars just basically stopped progressing for 2-3 months. In the end, 0.6 ended up taking nearly as long to develop as 0.5 but with like half the content. It received a colder reception because of it, and the devs's takeaway was that the shorter length wasn't good, so they would go back to 0.5-sized updates, but it would take longer to develop than 0.6. It basically pre-explained this massive wait for 0.7

I wonder if they will keep doing this ratchet effect going forward:

Big update that is acclaimed but took a while -> Smaller update that somehow takes nearly as long -> Big update that takes much longer

In most AVNs teasing scenes aren't very titillating at all, they basically serve as placeholders for devs who rightfully don't want to write an immediate fuckfest but still need to have some adult scenes

This game is one of the only ones that builds anticipation really well in my opinion. It manages to make scenes that don't even have nudity erotic. The devs don't get it right every time but they are definitely very good at it.

It's part of the reason why the dev time is so long and why so many people are willing to tolerate it

I wouldn't call it a masterpiece in terms of story, but it's still a well written game with well written characters compared to what's the norm on AVNS.

Yeah some games have sex scenes but they lack eroticism and are not arousing. It's a skill to write erotic scenes, not just robotic sex scenes. In this game the general story is nothing special but the writing of character interactions is pretty good and way above AVN average.
