Just a question regarding the patch. The DL link from gofile is 2.03, which is the latest release from what i can gather, so is the patch just for users who have an earlier/outdated version?

You don't need the patch if you're downloading the full game from the first post, that's for people who played a previous version.
You can try the sequel or other games from DojinOtome if you like the art and style, likethis one or this one.
For games with a similar setting, this one or this one. Also the "My secret summer vacation" games but you'll have to find those yourself outside of this site.
