I miss the old AA systems.
Where you could make the girls upset, even to the point of them actively disliking you. Having the choice to add other male characters was nice since it sorta gives you a reason to not leave characters on the back burner as you focus down and 'clear' characters one by one. The sex scenes weren't complete sandboxes (still mostly), there were a lot of people that didn't realize that characters had preferred positions and reacted differently to them.
My only guess is that those systems took a lot of times to implement. So instead of investing time into complex systems they just made a sterile environment where everything goes perfectly no matter what. Which is a bit disappointing.

After playing for a while, i could say this is a downgrade from AA2. The in-game char creator and polish are good, but even basic things are missing: where is the option to turn off NPC->player interruption? missing. Can NPCs "kill" each other and/or the player? nope. Option to make a road runner rainbow card? These transitions are too slow (AA2 transitions are instant).
Why limit traits to only 2? too much strain on CPU?

Had some hope for this one, but it looks like its 2011 (!!) predecessor was far superior, and that even before modders started doing their magic.

Unfortunately AAU is still far superior to this one.

Seems too much info at first, but if you put "a bit of grey" into into it, it will pay off. That team did wonders to the game.

The game has its faults but otherwise isn't the worst of 'Illusion'. I mean at least its not running at 12 FPS and crashing all of the time like Sexy Beach Resort. If you just want a better looking Artificial Academy without the academy you'll get it. Lets hope whatever is next will be anything but Honey Select 4 but with Koikatsu characters. We need gameplay, like the good old days of Illusion.

I would not be surprised if Illusion was also trying to cut back on people using their games to make sellable content. Hell think about how many games on this very site use Koikatsu/Honey Select assets while also having Patreons.

I feel like that defeats the entire purpose of the character studio option then. Why design a tool for people to make their own scenarios and not expect people to monetize their efforts?

But in all seriousness. My expectations are in the gutter with these games they tend to to be just the same character creator with different half-baked VN filler. I just wish that Illusion/IllGames could break their cycle one day because if they went further with what they did with Emotion Creators, making a full-on creative engine that is far more mod-friendly than these games have been, I feel like the team would be seen with a much brighter light.

I know we all check on the the Latest Updates tab and tend to see a good handful of RPGMaker/Renpy VNs using KKS/HS2 scenes they created, animated or otherwise, but honestly? I think that's a good thing. The models these character creators let you make are appealing to look at and that's allot more than what I can say about the uncanny homonculi you see in allot of other 3D VNs you tend to see posted here. All they'd need would be to just drop the current formula and just make one big editor they make paid expansions that add to how flexible you can be with both the game and character creator ends of things, and I feel they'd be more successful than sticking with the formula that probably lead to the rebrand in the first place.

A swiss army knife software for making hentai games that help with making tiny budget projects look like they had a bigger budget would be really nice, is what I'm saying.

I tried to make them lovebirds but cant view the screen I think when the H scene happen and I chose the meet option their card just greyed out

You can still do this. I've even made two lesbians who were into each other eventually break up, AND both hating me.

They also still have this, but unfortunately there are no heart effects to really convey that they like it, only subtle changes to the moans

The game (plus trait mod) have all of these things except the rainbow cards and fast transitions, the OP unfortunately messed up his repack. try finding a HongFire patch in the SVS section within the Koikatsu discord, it might fix up your game for you.
