After that preview cinematic, I think my heart strings got tugged a little. Certainly going to have to deal with empathising with Vic far more, and right from the start. Makes her seem far more important than before, and matches what Nika says about needing her in later chapters. It might even be a moment of clarity for him. I certainly think this will set a much more consistent tone for the start.

Something I'd hope is that there would be a clear path for being 100% supportive to Vic without being a love interest. It kinda feels like in order to not be an asshole you have to accept her, and if you don't accept her you can't support her. Admittedly, I never manage to explore the other options in dialogue (especially as the variables might only do something significant in 3 chapters time...) because I tend to choose the response I would actually do, feels weird to go against my personality just to see what happens otherwise.

Hello,

So, by now most of you know that the new Chapter comes out on the 25th of October.

Let me post the changelog and I'll talk a little about some thingies...

So, let's talk about the Phone first.

I will (most likely) not implement it in Season 1.

I had pretty much everything done, but there was one issue I just couldn't look past.

How I would simulate Chats, the phone, and its interactions, while also allowing the player to interact with the phone at the same time and not leaving behind useability.

What I had just didn't feel natural.

And as simple as that -> I need more time.

But I won't do this part myself. After the Steam release of Season 1, I will again find a freelance coder to help me with it.

The fourth time is the charm...

But I think it's okay if Season 1 ends without a phone.

A lot of new things will be added with Season 2, but more about that when the official development for Season 2 starts.

The reason why I'm not releasing tomorrow but in a week is that I want to give myself and the phone another week. If I manage to do it... The phone will be in Chapter 5.

If not, you'll see it in Season 2 - Chapter 1.

Jacuzzi

I had to adjust the Jacuzzi Cheeto scene in order to not lose 40% of the music for Season 1 and still be able to release the game as non-porn on Steam.

It sucks but, Season 2 Cheeto will make up for it. (Season 2 is fully adult.)

The rest of the details from the latest Ocean Dev Log of Oct 18, 2023, part 2 (this a great, long, dev log!):

So, back in 2020 when I created Chapter 3... I switched the Nojiko model mid-update and always said I'd fix the old Noji... Now it's 2023 and I did.

The old old Nojiko in Chapter 3.

And the Noji we all know, but with a different hairstyle that makes her look 20 years younger and super cute.

She just came back from a run and is uhhh... a little sweaty.

In an earlier Dev Log, I said I did redo the scene with Claire and Bella. I previewed it before. With the new Chapter 2, Claire got an updated model.

I previewed the Claire & Bellchen scenes in a previous Dev Log.

Those two scenes are the new 122 renders for Chapter 3.

I guess that was all regarding Chapter 5.

So, a lot of stuff happens in the background behind the actual game development...

I do language courses to improve my English and learn Catalan... I learn new techniques in Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere, After Effects & Substance Painter... And my biggest priority -> I'm learning Blender.

And I've been doing 2 hours of Blender for quite a while now... I'm learning every single aspect, be it modeling, sculpting, lighting, animations, simulations, and all that other crap.

And I have reached a point, where my Blender art gets close or even surpasses my Daz art.

I have more renders of this set, but I will show them with my first Blender Log.

The plan is to switch to Blender at the end of Season 2... Go above and beyond and set a new level of quality for my games. (Especially in terms of animations. Lewd and non-lewd.)

In the future, I'll make separate Dev Logs about my Blender achievements, experiments, failures, and frustrations.

The reason why I choose Miru to be my main Blender experiment model is because she's actually the only character in both games that you've fully seen nude.

She also has good-sized tiddies to really see some simulations, and she features piercings. All of these things need to be in the back of my head when I animate, etc.

It's not my plan to get excellent at everything in Blender, I only do the modeling, weight painting, and other stuff because I want to at least understand it.

Especially if I hire Blender modeling boys down the line, I want to understand what they are doing and know if what they have done is correct, or could be done better.

Anyways... I'm getting a serious foothold in Blender and I will slowly start working on the first Blender Short story after the WiAB release in November. (And will do Blender Logs to keep you guys updated.)

If we make the jump to Blender at the end of Season 2... And I'll make it happen...

We're gonna be eating good.

Hello,

So, Chapter 5 Beta will be released on October 25th.
As I said in a previous Dev Log, I would preview the new Victoria cinematic which replaces a small array of animations in Chapter 1 & the optional Marla shooting scene.

There will also be a Patreon-only Dev Log in a bit, in which I'll go into more detail + Changelog.

I hope Ocean can give us the phone in this first season, i´m really interested in this mechanic and i really love games with interactive phones, but if he can´t give us a good phone or the phone he wants it´s preferible wait until season 2.

About jacuzzi...Oh no :cry: , one of my favorities scenes is the Jacuzzi one... and it´s one of the few scenes with Nami that can be erotic, but i understand why Ocean has done that and of course i respect his decision (and if Ocean sais there will be more of Nami in season 2... i´m happy :cool:)

Thx for renders. I really like Nojiko's character. Ocean did a really good job with reworking. Even if old Nojiko wasn't bad at all. Bellchen is another good job. Claire at least now look older, in old renders she looked more like Bellchen's sister.
New Miru is just much more sophisticated than before. Now she's a much more lovable character.

The old Noji was Mom for the MC - at least that's how I viewed her.

The new Noji is still Mom, but I am having a hard time Not seeing her as a MILF.

Ocean did such a good job improving her look that I found myself going back to the LI post by lonelyk to remember If Noji had any LI/lewdable status: currently Not an LI 'but nothing is ever set in stone.'
