After that preview cinematic, I think my heart strings got tugged a little. Certainly going to have to deal with empathising with Vic far more, and right from the start. Makes her seem far more important than before, and matches what Nika says about needing her in later chapters. It might even be a moment of clarity for him. I certainly think this will set a much more consistent tone for the start.
Something I'd hope is that there would be a clear path for being 100% supportive to Vic without being a love interest. It kinda feels like in order to not be an asshole you have to accept her, and if you don't accept her you can't support her. Admittedly, I never manage to explore the other options in dialogue (especially as the variables might only do something significant in 3 chapters time...) because I tend to choose the response I would actually do, feels weird to go against my personality just to see what happens otherwise.
