It can be questionable... 20-25 beautiful girls/woman and only 10 LI's. Don't get me wrong, I like Ocean's work, but if make few realy good characters and "create" a soul for her, people get pissed when they aren't even lewdable...
LI = Gets an ending.
Many Non-LI's are still lewdable.
I can't care about people getting pissed. They'll always find a reason to get pissed.
Why bother to make this character. Use standard DAZ model and it's done (und fertig)... If say we, Nojiko would be "normal" character, nobody would give a fuck that she isn't a LI, but create her different and give her soul and don't meke her a LI, people get pissed. (you can add every girl you like on Nojiko's place)
Because no matter how irrelevant a character might be, they deserve my full attention when creating them.
I don't like it when a dev creates walking, unattractive hulls just because they're not the focus of the game.
There are tons of beautiful girls with amazing personalities in the world, but not every one of them is meant to play a role in your life.
Every single character that appears is part of the composition. Give them some life (soul), and make em somewhat pretty.
If you do create a lot of characters, do it right.
It adds immersion when even BG characters can add something to the eye and mind.
I get your point if this was a simple dating Sim where the only goal is to fuck everyone, but it isn't.
Seriously, Marla over Maja?
There is no "Marla over Maja", in the same way as there is no "Bella over Maja."
Maja's role in the game just isn't the one of an LI. (She's lewdable, but doesn't get a happily ever after ending with the MC.)
The MC isn't a blank hull that is compatible with every character beyond a fling/FWB.
And the most important variable is Victoria.
Maja would ALWAYS choose Victoria over the MC.
And it doesn't matter if the player likes Victoria or not.
Victoria likes the MC, and Victoria's feelings and well-being are what's important to Maja.
Marla's role doesn't come from being stunning on the outside. She isn't a classy porn trope "Milf."
She's what you'd find under the category "Mature".
And more important, looking good doesn't make you an LI.
The story behind the person determines if you get to be one.
And because I rewrite things in the BG (Future Chapters), there's always a small chance for a previous Non-LI to become one.
But the chance for some is extremely low.
I'm actively trying to zoom through Zara scenes because that "Monica Bellucci in her prime" model absolutely ruins my immersion. I just don't think using a real actors likeness is a good idea.
No character in the game is modeled after an RL person.
That would be a pain in the ass to do considering the limitations Daz has (and the High-Res Sculpt block on Zbrush if you're not a PA).
