The problem here in Germany is Steam. Steam has no age verification that is acceptable. Everyone can give a birth date back to 1900 whatsoever. Steam is at fault, that we in Germany can not buy games like this on Steam without VPN for example.Well, if the policies in steam germany are different I don't know, but we are in the same, what will happen when the game has explicit content? or is that the game will no longer have explicit content?
Nika is an ancient Greek female name. Hmmm....this raises a lot of questions.Nika sounds Russian to me.
You do learn more about summer if you picked the right path.Good update I guess, Just kind of boring story wise. I thought the plot would develop further and expand on summers mysterious disappearance but instead the majority of the update was a pointless book club scene. I don’t really care if there’s no sex i just want the plot to move forward.
I simply don't use Steam for porn even though I'm in the US (due to them not allowing lolis mainly), simple solution. Porno VNs don't need Steam anyway, if it's not here it can be found on a dozen other AVN sites or platforms like Backed.by or Subscribestar. I didn't know a VPN could be used as a Steam work-around due to them using billing address for geolocation (thougth not worth it since there's still porn not allowed no matter the country even when it's locally legal). The problem here in Germany is Steam. You can not even buy for example the Wolfenstein games without heavily censored shit in it. You can get however stupid Anime or Hentai crap.
I think its more like of an issue, that you can only support people by patreon but not supporting them by buying the game on steam, because all kind of porn games got banned in germany (via Steam purchase). Last game I could buy there was Acting Lessons from DPC. At that was a long time ago.I simply don't use Steam for porn even though I'm in the US (due to them not allowing lolis mainly), simple solution. And I want world peace, a cure for aging, and a post-scarcity global economy. Just come back in a decade or 2 then get the whole plot at once (assuming it's not abandoned at some point).Good update I guess, Just kind of boring story wise. I don't use Patreon either, no need to since any AVN worth supporting has multiple platforms as backup that don't do censorship (SS and BB the top 2 among those). What alot of devs do is simply give the latest update to subs or sell it on their own site and for advertising purposes drop the previous one for free either here and/or on other AVN sites. If the AVN doesn't suck too bad that is good enough to get maybe a few thousand subs just by doing that alone, which is plenty if you just pirate the assets and music and forget about stupid/expensive licencing agreements that eventually expire (sounds like a rip off to me, and BB doesn't care about copyrights either anyway, it's a decentralized blockchain so technically they can't ban you for anything once your page is created and also works in crypto for anonymity as well as Visa/MC-censorship-resistance). Assuming $2 ea x 3k subs = $72k a year. Considering if all assets are free/pirated anything beyond that is just being greedy as solo devs can live on even half that easy enough if they don't live in an expensive/overpriced area (ie San Francisco or Manhattan).I think its more like of an issue, that you can only support people by patreon but not supporting them by buying the game on steam, because all kind of porn games got banned in germany (via Steam purchase). Not only that but why would they buy a VN on Steam or anywhere else when it's here for free? That also doesn't even have sex in it. That's like paying $1 a liter for 3% saline solution in the middle of the Pacific. Without the sex it's actually worse, like same scenario only it's dehydrated 3% saline solution (30g of salt only, just add your own 970 mL of pure water). But if there are already renpy games on steam with explicit images, what's the point?
/shrug apparently even Ocean themselves doesn't know what the A means in AVN, it'd still be rated PG-13 if it was a movie. Who's going to read 1375 or even 10 pages of comments anyway? I mostly just ignore them all, and use search and date narrow it if I'm looking for something in particular like if a sex scene finally happens so I don't waste my time downloading it or whatever (still waiting for MC to knock up Nami).A day and a half after the release of Ch. 5 Beta, and after reading about 40 pages of comments, I came to the conclusion that 80-85% of the comments are unintelligible and worthless piles of letters. These comments are nothing more than crying, whining, bitching, complaining, or posts about what they want, claim, and what and how the developer should do, instead of what and how he is doing now. These commenters are the ones who don't know or don't want to understand what the word Adult means in AVN.
The remaining 15-20% of comments are really valuable, be they positive or negative. There's nothing wrong with criticism, it's always necessary, but it's only worth something, if it contains a offering for a solution or an alternative. Would the first season be perfect? Obviously not. Is there anything to improve? Absolute! Regardless, it is an AVN with a very unique atmosphere, which is worth spending time on. For me, the story and the visuals weigh more than being full of sex scenes.
One problem that makes Summer's Gone difficult to play. I will say right away that this opinion is subjective and may differ for others.
The game involves continuous reading of text and viewing pictures without interruption. Considering the size of the project, and the fact that the game will be even larger, this is very difficult. Yesterday, during run of Ep.5, I had to pause twice for a cigarette - take a break from reading. Same as when reading a book. Actually, the game is an interactive book.
In my opinion, a good solution would be to diversify the gameplay. What we've seen in some of the other big AVNs - interactive phone, free-roams, collectibles. Don’t turn this into absolutism, as in the last episode of one very popular game with a huge party, where everything is a big free-roam, but diversify the gameplay a little. It really helps take your mind off things and makes the game more intense.
