i will not be supporting ocean on steam i'll just wait till it is leaked i can spend my money better on a game and developer that puts out content on a regular basis not since october 2023 of last year there is no excuse for a beta to be that long. the creator of grandmas house has put out content on a regular for years and there are many others like him they dont make excuses and there games are great with story might not look like summers gone in renders but at least there is content to play on a regular basis. we can see they are working hard with what they put out. the proof is in a pudding.

a single payment of $5.00 will not change development so yes mine or your support means nothing in the grander schemes of things. these developers are making hand over fist in money believe it or not, most of them make empty promises. i think they are smart business men or women that know how to keep the customers mind occupied.

I can understand that point of view. Only reason I will be supporting him on steam , cause it's more convenient for me for replays I may do, that and I consider a Season a partially complete product and see it like buying Part 1 / Episode 1 of a game like what the Final Fantasy 7 Remake is doing. Frankly I could care less if an update took 6 months or 2 years sure might be frustrating but if I like the product I buy it. Since to me buying on steam isn't about supporting him that's what Pateron and subscribstar is for.

i have games on steam with season one from deveolpers and the season is never updated i think summers gone will be the same no updates just a single game of a season nothing more. season two will be a seperate game with a whole new price but we will never see it for probaly another 5 years if history repeats.

I mean I wouldn't expect games that release like that to get updates beyond bug fixes anyhow unless a dev releases a Season before it's complete. Since they release it that way so they can make more money and it's usually a partially complete product. Which is why I choose to really only buy his game through steam and not do the whole pateron thing since at least i feel like im getting something in return even if it's only Part 1 of a complete product. Since with all his reworks and how he is making 2 games at the same time it can feel like his update cycle is slower than most devs at times ( no idea if it is or isnt) but hey picking up AVN's as a hobby you have to know you are in for a long wait anyhow so I expect it to be a long painful wait anyhow. Also if im being honest working on 2 different games does leave a sour taste in my mouth but that's cause im being selfish and prefer SG.

Brother, I'm pissed for being the only one to speak out, the guy has more than 3k supporters and none of them do anything about it, the game has been ready for weeks, we supporters are the ones who paid for the development of the game, then he comes with the talk who is waiting for it to be released on Steam so that later, Patreon (his long-time supporters) will receive the game, I don't wish him anything bad, but he won't see a cent from me and I really hope that SG is leaked!

You do both realise that telling pirates on a pirate games forum how you're going to pirate a game is kinda pointless? This is like virtue signaling how piratey you are.

As a pirate, I get free things when someone shares. Being impatient just makes me an entitled dick. Stop roleplaying the MC of 90% of games - your entitlement is in your head and your dick should stay in your pants even on internet forums. Because even if you identify as something else, you're swinging your ding dong loudly like a helicopter.

If you're a patron and pissed, we other pirates are here on a piratey games forum, wondering why you aren't shouting at Ocean on his discord where he can hear you, or where the other patrons can hear you.

If you WANT to be effective with your complaint, complain to the people who can DO something. Or do you want a sympathy post? THe whole thread is here waiting too, and most of us are not angry because we haven't lost anything by waiting.

You are accusing someone of being hypocritical for posting their product where they want. You clain patreons are the one keeping the costs, which is true. Moreover you are saying you are going to love when the game is leaked to a pirate forum.

So you accuse someone of wanting money and not delivering in time to the users that actually support the game in benefits of those that are buying it on steam. And you also claim you are going to be happy when the game is provided for free in pirate forum, where someone (my assumption) like you that did not contribute a single dime can get it for free without doing anything while also pretending to have the moral ground and telling other they are being hypocritical..

You really don't see what I am saying? you are meta hypocritical. You are not contributing anything. At least have the delicacy of stealing the game WHILE being quiet.

Now, if you were supporting the game and you feel so feed up that steam will get it sooner, stop supporting and get it on Steam. Nobody forced you. So that is on you. But I am 100% sure you are just another entitled guy that thinks they deserve a product for free when telling others what terrible people they are for taking advantage of a third that is doing it willingly. Nobody forces us supporters to support. It is our decision, you on the other hand, take the game for free against the developer wishes, and take for granted the support of supporters. I don't think you have had the experience of being a Patreon on Ocean Discord, if you complain about something you are banned, I say this from personal experience, and regarding the forum, I don't see it as ''piracy'', but rather exchange of information... If it were just focused on pirating it would be a torrent site... That's it, all Patreons and supporters by other means should wake up and not fawn over Ocean egg like many here and on discord do!

Well, you might not see this forum as piracy, but pirates sit here and spin yarns while they wait for heroic patrons to spend money and leak games.

Being angry is exactly as pointless as fawning. If someone likes something, let them. If they're annoyingly simp, it's kinda cute that there are people who enjoy their life. Life is cold and hard enough without taking away other people's happiness because you feel stiffed.

I'm not telling you not to be angry, but what are you achieving by doing it? Exactly nothing. Games are meant to be enjoyable. Find one that you enjoy while you wait. I have like 200 here I've downloaded and yet to play, they all look interesting, some might be crap, but I can do plenty of other things while I wait.

Getting pissed off only raises your blood pressue, unwise before going to sleep. The world will keep turning. None of us pirate sponges actually care that you're not subbing anymore.

But consider this, every single *leaked* game is leaked by a subscriber. Every single one. So shouting at people for fawning by choosing to be a patron etc means your less likely to get leaks of your favourite things.

I supported the guy for years, this month was the last and I won't buy the game on Steam, if it comes out this month on Patreon great, if it doesn't I'll play the pirate, not everyone is stupid enough to pay Patreon and not be prioritized!

While I have no issue with it coming out on steam first. I do wish he would of increased the price on patron to what the steam one will cost. That way you dont piss off people like yourself that prefer patron. Since he can't charge a cheaper price than steam. Tho I do understand money is the main reason for his decision cause it's gonna leaked day 1 probably same with steam.

My understanding is that Ocean is keeping the patreon price low until the steam release, as Ch5 Beta is something that the patrons can have while Season 1 is pending approval. I think he lowered the price until the steam release, but will raise it to match when season 1 is available. I could be wrong asI'm not a patron so I don't follow that side of things too much.

Edit: mostwanted8 I'm fresh outta reacts, but the simple thing is, I save my fucks for things I can actually give a fuck about, mostly. Unless I'm triggered, or it's Wednesday Most of my life is being stressed about clients not paying me on time. Games should be an escape from that mentality. I'm not going to take my AVN hobbies as serious business - it's discretionary.

This is absolutely not true that complaining on Ocean's discord get's you banned. I say that as some one that spends too much time on the discord. The only way I think you would get banned for that is repeatedly spamming it like a dick.
