I don't think you got it right. there was always a faq where it was explained what role regium had and I'm sure he had no influence on development. he just rendered chapter 1 but everything was always created and written by ocean. try to find it if you are active on his server

Regium's version, while declaring both paths, was better focused on the dark path where the MC is a sociopath who can shoot a woman, commenting on his actions in the same tone as he asked Mila for a cigarette. Probably the author was trying to portray a guy completely dissociated from his feelings and emotions.

And I can only give my opinion, but I got the impression that the game was heading towards something like Raptus. Again, this is just my opinion, but it's based on what Regium has posted here and on Discord.

Perhaps this can be compared to alternative movies, which, although have their fanbase, is unlikely to be shown to the mainstream public due to taboo topics and disturbing scenes. I don't believe it had any chance of getting onto, say, Steam.

Well, there's a good chance we'll see something dark in WiAB. I'm repeating my old post, but what we have in WiAB right now is potentially the perfect premise for a tragedy about criminal family and moral fall. This is more my personal wish than an observation, but I'd like to see the story move in that direction.

SG by the fifth chapter turned out to be really fun, light and easy to read. Even the appearance of Bella's sister at the end didn't add much drama.

do you rwad the story before the rework of wiab? and before you say yes or no,im not tlaking about the second rework im tlaking about beofre the first one,....i have all the files from those times and i can say the story itself is too much better now,but the netorate and or the sharing path ,now is worst than nothing ,the forst work did a fine job with those scenes and paths the second he just erase many scenes and parts,this one.....well still in the development and beggining but ,i dont see anydiference from the first one,only renders,i cna understand that dev wann go deep on the the story first like in thesummer;s gone but ,we know this [summer;s gone]is a college story?with other deep shit gpoing on.....

Perhaps I expressed myself too confusingly.

I never claimed that the idea and story of SG was not Ocean's. They were his, indeed.

Regium made all the renders for the first chapter by his own, based on Ocean's script. Ocean helped him learn how to render and other things (they both told that).

During the development of the second chapter, Ocean got involved in the work, and gradually became so involved that he made almost all the renders for the second chapter and remade some of the renders that were made by Regium and which were not published.

So yeah, to summarize this, as stated in the faq, Regium made renders for the first chapter according to the Ocean's scenario. Who did the coding for the ch1 is the mystery unrevealed.

But while Regium was working on the game, he also wrote that he was working on the script (changing Ocean’s original, or continuing it, I don’t know) And from his words it turned out that according to his script version, the dark path would be veeery dark. This in no way contradicts Ocean's statement that when he passed the game idea to Regium, he gave him permission to make changes to the script if he wanted. But when Ocean took the game back completely, he reversed the changes Regium made to the script.

But since there was a big purge on Discord, this can all just be a figment of my imagination, I don’t mind

The first time I played SG, it was Ch 4 (that too with full ctrl). And play correctly starting ch 4.5 (forget beta or full version). I played as many paths as I could choose from, so it's safe to say I looked at all the scene the game provided.

And I started collecting all the final/full versions that had been released, and played them all (with ctrl of course) to see the differences between all the available versions, but I didn't play all the paths.

Recently I played ch 3 and 3.5, and then ch 4. I discovered there was a scene I missed , it happened in ch 3 and 3.5, and was removed in ch 4.

If you follow Bella's path (go to Mario's house), you will get this scene.

Raptus is not for everyone... If that was the case then i appreaciate the change. I played it and that game accomplish with the darkest kinks but if we talk about character´s personality we haven´t anything similar like the variety in SG, and of course the plot.

What we have now in SG is a depression case, not psychopathy, i think this can lead into more drama and the health process of the Mc can be really interesting to watch, as always people will decide when this change happens, we can try to be a better person from the beginning but the option to still being an asshole is there, i see it deep enough to be a good plot.

If the old Mc was a completely psycopath then this change into a better person would have been difficult to watch and the process of healing would have been a little "abrut" because a person who doesn´t value the live will need something more than pretties girls and love for healing. The new Mc is depressed and he doesn´t see live very colourfull but i´m pretty sure that he cares about his family and friends so that´s something.

I think i played those versions too but for some reason my mind has forgotten about all of those spicy moment
And i´m pretty sure i saw them, because i was too in Nami path and in that time i was reloading all the option for watch what scenes i was missing.

There is one i remember very good, the first one... I love facesitting and i hope Ocean doesn´t delete this kink from Nami´s personality

I just want to emphasize again that this is just my OWN impression, this is not what the developers have officially stated.
And maybe not like Raptus, perhaps I went a little overboard with the comparison here.
But something closer to the Blackheart's games. As I get it back then, it was not about real physical violence, but rather about psychological manipulation, corruption, blackmail and the like. But anyway, it's gone. And for the good, IMHO.

Speaking about MC being evil. I recently played The Karlsson's Gambit, thanks to Maviarab for his banner.

While I more prefer protagonists who slowly become villains, in Olivia's case, her sudden reveal as basically Joffrey with a vagina (and brains) was done so right that I enjoyed every scene in which she discovers her true self. HOLY SHIT, I haven't seen such a ridiculously evil MC in a long time.

So if you want to play baddie, then try The Karlsson's Gambit.
