His sister became his roommate. Beta had a patch where the old lewd content that was cut was readded.

I really don't care what people believe in I told you what I believe in by being rational, providing facts and not predictions(except that reworks could've replaced a half or one third chapter alongside the chapters if you check render counts from ch3 to ch5). People sometimes will omit the fact deliberately but I'm not like that and even if i miss a fact and someone points out I'll agree, there might be some things that we may not be able to agree on but I do agree on season 2 being hope since I've been posting in this thread I said one thing "SG season 2 is our hope" and I'm waiting for it. If things stay as it is than Ocean really has some issue with himself bcz we humans strive to be better and not overwork, it's designed in our brain. And I truly believe Ocean will learn from SG season 1.
Nevertheless, It's not like Ocean is not putting effort, his effort is showing (Dude is putting out roughly 6000 renders in a year, combining WIAB, SG and reworks together) but we don't want repeat of season 1 in season 2. He just needs to do better planning and don't jump the gun on reworks after every chapter release.

Ok...i decided to not touch Ch5 Beta... So i can have a blast with the full release when it comes...and after the long torturous wait...all i got.....is censorship?.....Should i have just played the beta?....Is it even worth playing anymore?....My disappointment hits like a fucking truck...Maybe i should just stop playing AVNs for a while

This is what it is, both Steam and patreon are same iirc. Season 1 is shifted from AVN to VN(16+) and season 2 will be AVN(18+).

Play the Beta with the decensor mod and the ipatch. No matter how deflated you are right now, just give it a try. You will like it far better I promise you.
Ocean was upfront about it and the second season will be 18+ and im pretty sure it will involve lewds but probably not already in chapter 6. I mean yeah he did cut a few semi-sexual (more like nudity really) scenes out of it but it was intentional that Nika isnt really up for sexy times from the get go.
I could understand the doubt of Ocean's intentions (and maybe abilitys?) if SG would be his only AVN. But Wiab s1 will already be 18+ and involves lewds which proves that ocean has the ability and no qualms with developing them.
Unlike Nika, William is sexually active and therefore lewds fit the story.
Not gonna lie, i think some of the nudity changes are strange too, its valid to discuss if reworks were necessary or if it was smart to make the first sg season 16+. Ocean obviously intended another outcome with the german steam fiasco and the music but i imagine it was a valuable learning experience as you said.
But due to Wiab i feel completly relaxed about Ocean's intention about lewds/nudity/18+ in SG.
I think he considered it a buisness opportunity going well along with the fact that nika isnt up for sex in the first 5 chapters anyway, it kinda fit together. While it would have been unthinkable to tone down wiab to such a level.

Right, but to me the most mind-boggling thing is: Why even try to make S1 16+??? If he really is intending for S2 to be R-rated, like why even do that? How would that work? Is S2 gonna be its own game (as in not just DLC)? Is he just trying (and failing) to go around Steam's system? Is it just a money thing?
I dunno, it's all weird and pretty sus, tbh... as for it being a "valuable learning experience", I mean, sure I guess, but like he could've just taken notes of what happened with Undergrad Steve's "Unscripted"... that was a massive failure.
Ocean chose to get into the porn business, it's kinda disingenous that he'd even try to backpedal it and attempt to turn his game into a PG-13 thing... that's not what his consumers (and I mean the AVN consumers at large, not just his patreon fanboys) expect from this type of product.
Which also ties to the music thing, it's funny seeing people use that as a valid excuse, but like, I'm sure he was fully aware of the risks involved in licensing music when working on R-rated products, so then why do it in the first place? And if he actually wasn't aware and just spent money on music licenses without doing the bare minimum of research, then whose fault is that?
I get people defending stuff they like and enjoy, but at some point you need to ask some hard questions. There's been a lot of things Ocean has done wrong, either nefariously or just out of sheer incompetence or stuborness, that doesn't really matter, what matters is that it happened and people are right to point it out.
The girls all looking the same and the obsession with wealth and not having money is just tiresome, but not as much as the 'oh I'm so depressed I can't even get an erection'. lmao.
I mean the music fiasco is obviously oceans fault but i feel like we have to give these devs some slack. These arent professionall companys, these are in most cases (rather young) people who need to have pretty good digital-art skills and at least some writing skills and a understanding of storys and characters.
I just think its too harsh to blame them for not being the perfect buisness managers from the get go too.
I think he thought that when he keeps it 16+, he will be able to release it in germany with steam. I can understand that a dev tries to get some exposure in his homecountry with his game. From this viewpoint it wasnt a problem to get music which is only licensed for 16+ and not for porn games for the first season.
It obviously failed but the steam/germany guidelines are just completly nonsensical. Witcher 3 has literally more expicit lewds than SG at this point yet SG isnt allowed.
He took a risk and failed but it wasnt out of malice or anything like that.

In beta MC and Nami had a talk before his date with Bella where it's revealed he can only get hard if he thinks of Summer. Which is tbh fucking sick considering she was like 12 or 14 when they last saw each other. They also had this talk if you do the Nami romance and go to the lake. Not sure if both of these conversations were removed in the latest rework.
