He's a teenager from a good home, not a homeless runaway street kid or a tough-as-nails war vet. How tough you think he could possibly be? :WaitWhat:
Although Bella calls him a hobo, his looks is the only thing in common with the homeless.
Bella just likes to call him poor, hobo etc... Only to attract his attention. And MC like that about her. Only to ignore her and piss her off... Well, this dynamic works, so, why change it... ;)

Mis Marla is definitely a character that has some sort of past trauma. Take away the reworks who hits someone with her car then pulls a gun on someone. Not just any type of gun but with blanks. Gotta say that situation was funny I went from oh shit to haha dumbass. Jokes aside she has a backstory I am interested in. Maybe she was in love with a student and the student embarrassed or humiliated her. Husband fucked a student and she walked in. Either one could be the reason Amber is trying to change Marla self-image.
Well, we know that Ocean said she's a very special person and she's a LI (only married LI)... We can only speculate for now... And try not to make parallels with "old" story line because they aren't 100% the same.

Well, he had hobo hair until Bella dragged him to Emilio. Since then, the emo hair. :HideThePain:
The amount of hair gel that goes in there to hold it could seriously damage the family budget.
Well, Bella thinks that her penniless emo looks much better as an penniless hobo... And she can continue to call him "poor" as bonus...

Is it just me or did the release in steam not increase the number of subscribers on patreon? I expected it to increase by a couple hundred at least. I guess that number will only go up when the sex scenes come out in season 2

To be honest, Miss Marla has always interested me. No, I’m not talking about she’s interesting as a MILF. I’m talking about the fact that she seems like a very important character, if you add up all the information from different paths. Especially with the release of the steam version. It seems as they knew each other before the start of the SG.
I have exactly two theories.
1.She is Nika's real mother(unlikely).
2.She's Summer's mother, especially with her hair changing to brown.
And on the opposite side of that, I was kind of pissed when the gun was loaded with blanks :ROFLMAO:

Why would Patreon numbers go up?

Correct me if I am wrong, but rabid fans aside, I would imagine the vast majority (if not overwhelming majority), if you just bought it...you're not then gonna go and give him a monthly sub too *shrugs*

Realise, this place and the people here are a small minority when it comes to how many people who actually play VN's and buy them on Steam...

fair enough. Man, I wish Ocean had 2.5-3 thousand subscribers, maybe then he could hire an animator.

When I registered my account here in the Zone, I came here from Steam. Because I discovered that one college game has more content than was published on Steam. It was an unusual move for me, I just happened to like that college game so much that I couldn't stand the itch to see a next episode.

And only here I found out that the developers hangout at this strange Patreon site, that there is life on this Patreon and updates come there as soon as they are ready, so I don’t have to wait several years until the next full season of that college game is out.

But before this I had never been interested in wasteland outside of Steam. Like many of my online buds. So it’s not a fact that the Steam public will follow a developer on Patreon.

I don't know if there is a combined total - Patreon and SS.

Given all the Patreon attacks on AVNs in the last 4 months, I know a number of people who left Patreon and moved to SS.

I did for any creators who are supported by both.

After WIAB was banned by Patreon, I suspect that a number of Ocean's supporters made the switch to SS.

I know of one creator who has had his SS application under review for approval for more than 3 months (and I've heard it is much worse for some other creators but that is not anything I can substantiate with an actual SS link).

We may have also had some people who bought on Steam/elsewhere and stopped subscribing until S2 content hits - not unreasonable, especially if your $ budget is tight.

At least SG is Much safer (less likely to get a Patreon ban) when - like it or not - Ocean removed much of the branding and what some would call offensive language (even if it was germane to the story telling).

These days, the Bible could not be published on Patreon - violates the incest rule among other things.

That says just how Bad Patreon has become.

Better not tell a story about Viking conquest unless you want to adapt it to Patreon rules:

Original story = explore, battle, burn, pillage, rape

Patreon approved story = explore, handshaking and sharing jokes, tell campfire stories, exchange trade goods, handholding...*

* Patreon TOS prevents aggressive handholding ... or other activities. ;)

Got to love the PC Police...:poop:

Just stop. I mean stop right now. Run away from this game as quickly as possible. Remember, most of those who praise this game are already completely addicted and cannot quit; even replacement therapy with the most naughty porn does not help them.

I've been hooked on this shit for a long time and I need more and more doses updates, but the dealer developer is in no hurry to deliver it. 95% of other games I try don't hook me at all and I quit after a couple of minutes. Now they all seem like boring and worthless crap to me.

If you are just starting to feel addiction, you can fight it with the help of support groups in this thread. They hold their meetings here almost every day, where they conduct auto-training and self-hypnosis, repeating to each other how much they don’t like this game, how it was better in the good old days, how Ocean ruined everything and how they shouldn’t waste their time on a game that will never be finished. I don’t know if this therapy helps, some of them have been participating in these groups for several years, coming here every day to their meetings.

But it’s better not to let it come to this, so there’s only one piece of advice - run. A whole world of dirty kinky harem porn games lies outside of this thread, don't waste your boner here!
Ahahahaha, man for some reason i remembered Pirates of the Caribbean.

Yeah - all the changes Ocean made - to try to compensate for the vagaries of Patreon and their ever-changing TOS and - horror of horrors, actually trying to get his own AVN listed in Germany once it hit Steam.

What creator should actually be able to view his Steam page for his AVN in his own country... I Mean - it takes balls to want that, right?? ;)

You'd think he was actually trying to avoid what happened to WIAB when Patreon removed it, and he lost that income.

The nerve of that guy to actually have to think like a businessman, anticipate changes in the environment in which he works and Pay for music licenses, taxes, anticipate hardware buys and more.

Why he even has the gall to hire other people to help create sets and work on improvements to SG... what a businessman move!

How dare he change SG from a dark, psychotic, anti-social story and, YEARS ago, change course so SG is now a story of healing.

What a joke right??

Ah - the good old days are gone - life moves on and ... most of us do as well....

I'm one of the ones who have moved on - Season 1 is a lock - and the changes are what they are, including a much lower likelihood of SG getting put on hold or just abandoned for a Patreon ban.

Reading the room - AKA acknowledging that the good OLD days are the past and every creator must live in the present and anticipate the future - is a handy trait for a businessman, perhaps even someone who 'owes' you your pleasure...

So, lament and wail about the past that is The Past...

or

Enjoy the present - either here or - if that is TOO hard - elsewhere.

Just search for creators who don't use Patreon, and you might just find those able to give you more of the past whose loss you lament here.

Enjoy your search!! (y)

Cheers!! :coffee:
Always appreciate your grandstanding, Pax. Never change. I was so shook reading your post I almost had a panic attack :ROFLMAO:

But seriously let's try to not go off on just about anyone reminiscing about a time when they enjoyed the game, ok? Not everyone is gonna see it the way you do no matter how many times you tell them to "move on".

Btw do you work in PR by any chance? You could do wonders for companies like Disney or Boeing that have been having a rough time for years now ;)

You know, I agree. I always said that time will put everything in its place and there is only either success or failure. From the very beginning, SG beamed , gained interest and great popularity, and Ocean got the golden ticket into his hands. He has all the stars agreed so much that this project could become the second Badik. After the decision to rework, everything was changed. To the point that mc began to have problems with potency and all in order to release avn and not receive an 18+ rating. Let's look at the results of the release on steam and the last devlog. For some reason, the number of patreons remained at approximately the same level as it was. 1400-1500. The number of those who came is approximately the number of those who left, who are very dissatisfied with many things and are simply tired. And, hehe, about the last devlog. Apparently, the release on steam for some reason did not collect millions like Badik, there is only enough money for taxes. For some reason people did not appreciate the story of the healing of an emo-impotent, where gender roles were reversed, where strong and independent women pay in restaurants and buy things for male losers, and in bed, when these losers refuse, they treat them with *understanding*. Maybe, purely theoretically, maybe the great businessman miscalculated with cutting out sex content and changing history? I have often seen a comparison that SG = Badik. But this is far from true. For some reason, people forget that drawing such scenes is much more difficult, and if Badik had followed the path of SG, then the update would not have 7 thousand renders, but 10+ each? It turns out that SG is very far from Badik. Okay, let's move on. Let's go down to the SG level in terms of the number of patreons. 1400-1500. Suddenly it turns out that the developers are going to insert sex content, violence, incest and normal men and have the same level of earnings , without buying top cards for 10 thousand euros. And personally, I don’t believe that anything will change much in the second season. The introduction of setralin into the plot as a way to kill libido and the narrative that this is a game with adult elements seems to hint. And this is only the beginning of the end. There is still another ballast project on the way with strong and independent female kingpins and losers ntr-men, which will definitely beat the ratings on steam and of course will not drag SG along with it to the bottom.:sneaky:
That is, we should have made another game exclusively for masturbation? People don't always like what's done really well, and the fact that Pornhub has a larger audience than Helldivers2 doesn't mean that the second example took a wrong turn.
In addition to sales, the game on Steam also has a section with reviews. Take a look there. It’s not at all necessary to turn the “bad ass” level of the main character into the ceiling and add one fucking scene every ten minutes of the game.
Who said that the absence of people in the fan base who welcome the plot and production of the level of Brazzers short films is a minus?
In addition, you have the opportunity to compare a game from the same author with and without those same scenes. Prequel.
And for some reason I very often see stories in the spirit of “role reversal”. Why did this suddenly get everyone so excited? Some kind of phobia about women with balls?

Those good old days with the ape Nami, the racist Stahl, the slutty smoker Mila and the psycho MC, who wasn't even Nika back then. So sad that this old game was abandoned by its dev.

Anyway, if you want a game with an emo edgelord MC with a hard dick, I can recommend a good game.

If you want a game with lots of girls and light and dark paths that the MC can choose and he can be a complete asshole on the dark path, I can recommend another good game.

But SG is what it is, and Ocean its dev. So in the first season you won't be able to fuck Bella and Nami won't watch a porn with you. Accept it or find something else.

I'm still interested in one question; Why did Patreon start to ban games. It had so much time, so why and why now... And if incest (and other tags) are the point of reason, why aren't (still) not all games with this tags banned... Patreon just ban it without contacting the dev.
Those games were together a huge amount of maney and Patreon still shoo devs away... If somebody like Patreon likes something, it's money. So what forced them to leave money behind.
