Willy does not have to work to properly exercise with those barbells... once he does - the workout gets even better!

Makes sense, maybe Nika is the son of a important character from WiAB and the mother will not be William's love interest...maybe one of his close friends from the past and his wife (or girlfriend) or some kind of "frenemie" in the story.

In actual numbers, the longest between updates was just short of a year (Ch3). I would guess this will be updated sooner than that, but not much. Based on his current render counts, I wouldn't expect it before February, but April would still be faster than Ch3.
That's cheating, Bob. It's been a year since the beta of Chapter 5; you're counting from the Steam release of the first season.
THe beta didn't have the rework, and that rework was the content of a whole chapter for the final release, so I don't think that's cheating. Normally it would have been considered a half chapter, but there was no advancement of the plot in the rework, so it gets overlooked. But it was still work, and it was still a separate release, which is why the beta is still linked in the OP, separate to the full release. Ocean dabbled with Season 2 prior to the release of Ch5 beta as well, so it's impossible to be accurate.That's cheating, Bob. I just hope the freeroaming never comes to SG or even Wiab. I have seen how my previous and first favourite game here was massacred with freeroaming and i wouldn´t stand it again with SG...
Theoretically, the only place I can imagine the freerooming and it would somewhat fit, is a tabletop scene, and only then if it would be optional. Otherwise I don't want any freeroom in SG.
If he ever decides to go down that route, there are plenty of places it could happen. Like any party or hangout, it could become a free roam location, as that's the most common place the developers like to put it.
Pre Steam, I would have said an average of 6-8 months between updates.
I agree - I think a version of free roam (or at least something that is more specifically choice driven) would work in the bar opening, the barn parties and the welcome party when moving into student housing.
Would we consider it free roam if during the bar opening (for example) we were given a choice in the dialogue of who to talk to next? The essential thing about a free roam is the order in which things are done, but we've already seen Ocean toy with this in the bookclub - do you sit with Nami or Sasha? I think these sort of choices could be does well, but instead of find the interactive part of the render, you just what direction the story advances.

I wonder if Ocean will start implementing choices - choose A miss out on B - at the bar opening and barn parties?
I could see this happening to further define the relationships that the MC wants to invest in, and at the expense of other potential LI's/relationships.
We get different 'lore' tells based on who we spend time with when the MC and Nami visit Vic and Mila for the sleepover.
This could give us a mix of those variations as well as variations on which LI's we spend time with/lewd encounters we pursue.
OC - this gets more interesting once the MC and Amber go on the cabin trip so the MC can make real progress on getting his mojo back.

Damn RL. I think unless the coder guy he mentioned helps him with this, it's a surefire way to double the development time for nothing. I mean, I don't see the point of free roaming unless a different order of actions leads to different results.
