In all honesty, I have always loved reading and visual novels. When I read a novel or play a game I immerse myself in the character and experience. Those who don't read, live a life, those who do, live a thousand. Yesterday I was a lawyer, the day before an elf, and the previous one a too caring daddy. I have travelled the universe and defeated dragons. I have been good, evil, noble and arrogant, I have saved the world a few times and destroyed it many others. I have fallen in love and broken many hearts among the way. Meet great friends, amazing rivals and devastating enemies. I have surrender and fallen in despair in defeat and happiness in triumph. And I have enjoyed all.
That does not stop me to still be in this world planning my conquer on your blue planet, you lowly humans!
This. Music is absolutely key to produce the desired effect. It sets the mood in a way nothing else can. With the right render and the right music, you don't even need writing to convey emotion many times.

Takes a few months, previous update took a year, this one around 6 months... so... don't obsess as we do.

Currently it takes about 5-6 months for a half-chapter. The dev said his hardware kept hitting its limits and didn't allow him to increase the pace, he's also working on 2 games at the same time. So if you really love the game you can consider donating to him so he can upgrade his hardware and work more effectively.how often are updates released, i need to know please

Agreed. Same thing with masturbating with your hands. If you do it too much, the real thing starts becoming weird for you and you don't get excited.

So when will WIAB get an update? SG keeps getting them, which is fine I like SG a lot but oceans other game WIAB is also very very good and hasnt had one in ages. Is there any updates on progress on Patreon?

Ocean said there's going to be an update on Patreon for WIAB soon. We just don't know how soon "soon" actually is.

it would be better for Ocean (and for us) to focus and finish one game and after start another (and for all devs in general)
im pretty sure WIAB remake will be a good game but right now SG has a pretty big fan base so it would make no sense to switch

I personally think WIAB is alright. While Summer's Gone is excellent. I find the latter way more focused, intriguing and polished. I played SG first, so maybe that's why I think that. I would really love for him to focus on one game at a time, and that game being SG. Beggars can't be choosers I guess. It's just very painful to wait for these updates
