Hello,

So, welcome to a new Bibi Log.

As the name suggests, it's a Bibi (Baby) log and it will be pretty small and to the point.

I'm currently 600/2250 images into Postwork.
But I must also admit that I wasn't focused on Postwork yet... As I'm currently handling the end cinematic.
And the End cinematic is quite heavy on the Vram.
And Lightroom is some sort of Drama Queen that tends to slurp up as much Vram as it can.
So I can't really do postwork while rendering without risking a CPU fallback in Daz. (When the Vram runs out and it drops back to CPU.)
Even though I have two 3090s in the Workstation, a 120 frame animation takes up to 14 hours... So there's still a lot of room for speed improvements.

The End Cinematic is almost finished. It's around 85% done and 1:07min long.
So an average length.
After the end cinematic I only need to finish a cinematic from earlier in the Update. It's also already 80% done and I'll just need to add the last 20%. It's also much easier on the Vram.

In other news...
As many know, with the Steam release, I will remove a lot of music from the game... I'm currently still in the clear but as soon as certain content is added, I will have to remove the music.
This means that multiple cinematics will pretty much be "useless"... As they're all tailored to the music... This includes all the cinematics in Chapter 4.

Why am I still doing them even though I will have to remove them?
It's about more than just a nice video... I've been envisioning some cinematics for a few years now...
I've been looking forward to them since early 2020... Listening to the songs over and over again, playing the cinematics out in my head... I couldn't wait until we got into the later Chapters and I could finally do them.
Now that many of them will sadly stay nothing but a vision, I will still finish those that I legally can before the nuke.
It makes me unbelievably sad but at least that way I will gain some inner satisfaction by releasing them... Still better than never being able to express my inner vision.
Sadly, some visions will stay unsatisfied but maybe if I become more relevant in the future, I can convince them to go the extra step of contacting the artist for me, and ask them if they have moral concerns.
Maybe some cinematics will be resurrected.

But for some good news now.
I am about to close a deal on some music with a band from the US. Until now everything looks like it'll work out and as soon as the deal is made, I will give you guys some details on the pricing and the music. (Genre: Indie/Rock)
And the second I heard their first song, a nice cinematic started to form in my head...

Some might be gone, some will be gone soon, but new ones will always follow.

And with that, I'm out.
By the way, I'm aiming for a release this month.

Man, I first visited this site for porn games and now the only thing I care about are cool stories with great characters like this one. Legit on nofap streak because cool romance games are infinitely more engaging and satisfying than porn. I feel bad about playing this for free, which makes me wonder about the author's stance on this game being available here. Does he view it as piracy or is he okay with it due to exposure and potential Patreon supporters coming from this site? Also, could someone recommend similar games to this one with a heavier focus on story and characters rather than lewd?

Can't speak for Ocean, but I imagine many of the devs who engage with folks here just don't worry about it too much for the most part. They know it's gonna get leaked here and just accept it as advertising and likely read some of the feedback - I played this game here for free last year when I came across it originally, and then, because I liked it, signed up on his Patreon to give some financial support. And games I really end up liking a ton once they get to the end, I usually buy again on Steam, and sometimes will even buy additional copies for other people on Steam if I think highly enough of the dev & the game, so I think F95 can actually be a positive for devs who handle things right and make a good product.

When people get a product they want more of, invariably the ones with the financial means will buy it to fuel more of that product.

If you love it and are able to provide support, please do! I found the game here first, downloaded it for free, loved it. Have now been a Patreon subscriber for over a year. In my opinion Devs who fight sites like f95 have the completely wrong mindset. It is the best way for them to showcase their games and gain a supporter base. Patreon does not have a great search feature and frankly most of their web clicks are from 3rd party sites like this one. Then there's things like Steam of course (this game isn't on there yet though) but even then Steam versions can be watered down due to censorship stuff.

Point is, I wouldn't feel bad. Some devs put out AVN games with 100 renders, stock DAZ models, poses, and lighting, and then get pissed at people when they get 5 Patreons for a whole year. High quality games that get posted here bring in Patreon subs, look no further than this game, Being a Dik, City of Broken Dreamers. It's the difference of making something with passion vs. making something for a profit. When there is passion and creativity, the money and support will naturally follow.

Sorry got on the soapbox to answer your question, but yeah.

And the lord said, I will give you a release date", and he delivered. No longer were the fans to suffer unknowing Chapter 5's release date, having to resort to guesswork and theories to pass the time.
